yeah philly i hear you but its just seems too i dunno. just takes away from that old school look...to a program that symbolizes stability ...tradition....it might sound crazy but i do think it effects things....

I think sennse the 90's our uniforms have changed somewhat. Not drastic but definatly different. you look back to when peyton or jay gram or even the 98 team and the jerseys where traditional-almost like michigan or ohio states but now they are just a little different in the lettering....it kind of bothers me as someone who has played football their entire life...because little things like that can drasticly effect the teams mindset....does anyone know what im talking about???

I believe you played foosball all yo life:crazy:

I do like the old style also but its all about style now. Could you imagine what ESPN would say about UT if we still had old style jerseys? The one size fit all jersey may not fly with recruits either.

the very same reason people tend to be more depressed in the winter...your saroundings....you look good you feel good you play good:pepper:

Okay, here's the scoop.

Year/font/numbers/application method/patches/manufacturer/manu logo

1994/Clarendon/capital block/screened/200th ann'y (screened)/Sports Belle
1995/Clarendon/capital block/screened/Sports Belle/star VOLS one sleeve, SB the other
1996/Clarendon/capital block/screened/75th Neyland (sewn)/Sports Belle/star VOLS one sleeve, SB the other
1997/block/block/sewn/none/Adidas/primary color "adidas" on right shoulder
1998-2000/Clarendon/capital block/screened/Adidas/black "adidas" on shoulder with primary color tri-bars
2001/Clarendon/capital block/screened/Adidas/primary color "adidas" on shoulder with primary color tri-bars
2002/block/block/screened/Adidas/black "adidas" and tri-bars under neck (orange fat stripe down side of white jerseys)
2003-05/capital block/block/screened/Adidas/black "adidas" and tri-bars under neck

I have a couple of every style in my closet, so I believe I have some idea of what I'm talking about...

Why don't we just go completely black with orange letters. :whistling:

mindset? mindset? are we talking about mindset? are guys drastically affected because of jersey changes? are they saying, "sorry coach I couldn't go across the middle, our jerseys are a little different. Coach, I'm sorry I fumbled, it's the damn lettering" sheez.

I can't believe that this guys has gotten away with 3 pages of not getting blasted for saying our jerseys effect our mindset. That is quite possibly the most absurd suggestion I've heard in a long time on this board. What possible evidence can you pull out of your hind parts to support this?

i starting playing at age 5 and started all four years in high school untill i tore my acl mcl my senior year...im 22 whore...haha i know a little about playing as a team....

You punk now have 0 cred, and labeled yourself a douche bag. Nice chatting with you.

I think we should change the numbers to a Japanese font and then change the colors to red and white with blue trim. How do you think that would affect their mindset?:dance2:

Uniforms don't make the player. Look good to play good, that's total crap. This ain't a fashion show, it's football for cryin out loud.

(Having said that......NO ORANGE PANTS!!!!)
