Listened to Kessling driving home tonight. Had Vandy guy on radio. Vandy will be lucky to have 53 players. LB going to play DL.

Doubt this game happens

Vandy has been very vocal this week about wanting to play so we will see, i saw where 1 LB was listed at 175 LBS thats not good.

Cincy is no better of a team than Colorado is.

yes, he is totally fine. Not saying anything other than the reports/hype on him was that of a difference maker - a guy who could flat out score.

he has 4 points - that, for me, was below what i expected.

Not a big deal - i think he will be amazing. He has shown the flashes - thought he would be better quicker.

i guess, that's it, i thought he would be more polished and better more effective right out of the gates.

Im not worried about it, he missed a few open shots tonight. Once he gains confidence he will start hunting his shot more. The one dribble pull up jumper was all I needed to see to know the kid could score.

We will be fine. Looked rusty at time but they’d played 2 games already plus schedule has been crazy and not much tome to scout Colorado. Felt like we were totally in control all game and beat a decent team. Much better to play a game like that to start than some cupcake school. Young guys will get better. Team is very deep so it wouldn’t shock me if we didn’t have many 30 point outbursts this year. I’d say we will have a lot of guys how’ve around 10-15 points which isn’t a bad thing.

I think when he gets it going and consistent it will be higher than 10 points a game.

Ehhh if so not much higher imo, maybe 12/13. Our team is deep and production will be balanced. KJ is a freshman and Barnes likes experience... if he was at UK he’d average 18+

Yes, if that is the case - his high motor has been on full display. That is awesome.

I can't remember, but I thought some media members were making some outlandish comparisons.

Im sure there were, and to be fair he may show a really good scoring ability when he gets more comfortable. Have to remember he missed most of his senior season with injury so not sure how many legitimate organized games he’s played since before tonight.

I just looked at the NBA mock draft reports and everyone I saw said things like “elite athlete” and “showed improving scoring before his injury”. Another one stated that he was a big time player in transition, which we didn’t really get to see any transition from anyone tonight.

Either way, this team and him are going to be fun to watch as they keep getting better this year.

Colorado slowed a lot of things down by going to the zone. In SEC play we will see more man and be able to run then. Thats when this team will get fun.
