You trust the Sunseri defense? Troy scored like 44. Bray could sling it, but Eric Gray would run for 300.
Phil screwed up with the extension. He prematurely tied us to Pruitt. That's where he screwed up.I think people that act like Fulmer is tied to Pruitt ignorance, it’s not like the pool of available coaches was great after the crap hit the fan. He made the hire with his hands tied so I believe he’ll have no issue firing Pruitt if he feels that’s what’s best for the program
Fulmer is tied to JP success at this point. Fulmer has crossed the line a few times as it relates to his AD role and some big time boosters are well aware of this when/if the time comes to ensure he is shown the door if the opportunity presents itself.
Year too late AGAINFulmer has been working on contracts for some coaches that are expiring. Tells you all you need to know about JP returning IMO.
Agree with Hubbs at this point.. Bass should get his wish on weinke....jay planning on staying and as of now friend may be back however there have been some flare ups between him and JP lately but we will see how that shakes out.
More to come on the assistant side...certainly think Chaney is in play as well.
If Fulmer wants to save himself and still be beloved and save UT football he has to make a move. The next coach may not workout but Fulmer absolutely can’t sink with this ship. He has to at least make an attempt.Fulmer should have hired Tee and given him a shot over the Bama lover. We could have dealt with him learning on the job and bringing in the best assistants money could buy. Pruitt hire is a disaster. I hope for Fulmers sake that ATL is wrong because the coach is loved by a lot of his former players and I know they are getting upset with the coach. Pissing off boosters is one thing, pissing off family and those who went to war with you is another.
I’m honestly afraid if we retain Pruitt he will be here 2 more years. I say that because if he sweeps the trash OOC opponents and then beats Vandy, UK, Mizzou, USC we will win 8. Which I think we have enough raw talent to do with HB at the helm. Sadly this isn’t good enough but our admin won’t move on from an 8-4 coach.
I still believe we are trying to save our recruiting class and decisions will be made after ESD.If Fulmer wants to save himself and still be beloved and save UT football he has to make a move. The next coach may not workout but Fulmer absolutely can’t sink with this ship. He has to at least make an attempt.
I know Phil very well but we never talk ball. We only talk family. I think he is a great guy. Hard-headed--yes; but there is no question he loves this University. His stubbornness outweighs the well-being of football, at least.
Progressive is only one death away, and as unfortunate and macabre as that is, it is the case.

IF stadiums are full next year you’d expect everyone to be eager to get back into some normality and back in Neyland but sadly I think they’ll see 50% or lower capacity even IF they are allowed to be full. Sad times. I used to go all the time and haven’t been in 2 years. Had intentions to go last year but why waste money and resources, when we lost to BYU and GA St it killed my want to go so I just watched on tv. I’m sure others can relate. Our last hope is Vanderbilt winning. Otherwise, prepare for peak apathy next year
If he proves us all wrong and figures it out then I will go streaking through the quad to the gymnasiumI’m honestly flabbergasted we aren’t giving up 60 points a game, guys are still playing hard, and some high profile recruits are rock solid. I don’t know what to make of it. Pruitt must really garner a lot of respect from kids.
He’s just the opposite of a leader, an uncouth bastard to his peers with no tact. God help us though if he ever learns how to manage QBs and score points. He might make something of himself.
