Not sure exactly what you mean with that phrasing. But Freeze is getting the narrative out there. I have no doubt that he wants to market himself to get in on big jobs. But the Oher situation most likely soured Fulmer. Freeze’s dream job then was not UT. He’s Oxford born and knew Orgeron was going to hire him.

Sorry for the way I phrased it, my point is that colleges hire high school coaches all the time if they deliver on a high profile recruit. Coach Fulmer is 100% Tennessee and he hit on a lot of recruits but also missed on his share. If he fires Pruitt there’s no reason to at least not interview Freeze & see if there’s a possible go & if not then so be it

The only reason to keep Pruitt would be if he could ransack the LSU transfers. Bj, Arik, Webb (I believe rumored to want out months ago), the DT that was rumored as well. Add the transfer from USC and that's the only thing that should save Pruitt. Then fire him halfway through next year so the new coach can have 2 years with those guys.

Agree with Hubbs at this point.. Bass should get his wish on weinke....jay planning on staying and as of now friend may be back however there have been some flare ups between him and JP lately but we will see how that shakes out.

Coastal Carolina has more alphas than we do. Florida has alphas. Maybe we have some but for whatever reason they’re not inspired. We play with no passion and the guys don’t play for each other.

Brenton Cox punked HB twice and none of our players went over to stick up for him. Pruitt has failed to instill a culture here and our players show it

Agree about the Cox deal. They didn’t even help HB off the ground. Very telling.

Both of Cox’s roughing the passer penalties were on JT Shrout not HB.

Not only that, but we’ve failed to develop players here for the better part of 10 years under multiple coaching staffs. I don’t blame kids one bit for being skittish about coming here.

You won't hear anything until our final game on any rumors if any at all are made. Fulmer does not like Freeze and he's off the table, even though there is major interest coming from his side. People won't like to hear that but he's not an option.
I believe he is gauging interest from coaching candidates but does not want to make a move, however the dominoes may start to fall and things may get ugly.

Not true at all. Fulmer doesn’t get to make the call. Freeze is working the big money people. If he convinces them that he’s the guy, he will be our football coach next year

AV this is getting pathetic. He is done here. We all know it. Recruiting is going to be trash next year because everybody sees he’s a lame duck coach. He effed up all year. He could have made a QB change and played younger players and sold the future and win back some fans but he chose not to. Why is he all of the sudden done with JG when the season is now lost? I think Fulmer or someone told him to bench him. You’ve wasted all year with him and now we get maybe one more game with another QB to get experience in. He’s an awful coach and honestly his big thing was defense and recruiting and neither of those are going to go well. we are in danger of wasting one of the best instate classes in a long time.
