Georgia State was the first sign
UK was number 2
Arky did him in for me

I’m firmly the F out on this guy
I know some people would say 2018 Vandy, but I try to withhold judgments about coaches (especially negative judgments) in year 1.

First real sign was 2019 Georgia St + how pathetic they looked generally in the first 5 games of the season. After Kentucky I started to check out, and since Arky I've thought he should be fired. I had something of a slower burn with Butch, but that's probably because Butch actually strung together 2 decent seasons.

I don't know a single person who expected UT to lose to ARK and get blown out by UK in Neyland. If you foresaw those, you must do very well in Vegas.

Definitely didn’t see Ky coming, I’ll admit that. But I completely expected Ark by the time that game arrived. Actually, I’ve expected every game since. We are the most predictable team in the county save Vandy. And if they still had Mason in charge, I’d bet they’d play us extremely close.

Not true. Best thing for the long term health if this program is whatever gets Pruitt gone the quickest.
His body of work is well documented. Win or loss against that poop team should not make a bit of difference. If that truly is the criterion, I may have to opt out myself.

I am just kidding about the opt out part, but, dear Lort, never mind. Go vols.

This is a fair take. But i'll add that the one common denominator is JG paying awful in all of those bad losses you listed. If you want to be positive (since it appears we are stuck with CJP for another season at least), you hope that JG being so good in practice but falling apart in game, and not a lot of options as back ups, has been the main problem. With the staff FINALLY moving on past JG this week, those problems will be in the past. We will see.

But JG is the coaches fault. Either get him ready, get another QB ready or recruit a QB you believe in. That’s all on Pruitt and co.

I just hope it's Pruitt's unwavering loyalty to his buddies who are **** positional coaches that's the main issue.

If THAT is the case then it can be fixed. I'm sure Fulmer will strongly urge him to make some tough decisions or he can test the market about that "DC in two days" theory.

My grandmother has it and they've got rid of the local CBS she was telling me (of course she is 90 so she could be mistaken) we're in East TN
I'm in North Knox County.

ABC (WATE ch 6) is the only local channel unavailable

We've got everything else

didn't say they were. question was about being on thin ice..................siap, he was coming out of that bowl game against WVU. some viewed the venebles hire an act of desperation.

remember "clemsoning"? that was a thing, and it would have gotten him fired, had things not turned the way they did in 2012.
Yes, Dabo was on thin ice, but it is easier to get off of the hot seat when your team is at least decent. That's how Gus has spent his entire career off/on the hot seat - he feels pressure, and his team actually is good enough to pull off an upset. Dabo would have been s**t-canned if he followed up his 6-7 2010 season with another 6-6 the next year.

Pruitt's teams are so terrible that I'm not sure it's possible. I mean, he will get off the hot seat if he starts winning, but it is just so unlikely.

You seriously can't be excited by any potential lame duck coordinators Pruitt would bring in here this off season. Its also being said by 247 that Pruitt wants to extend several assistants including Will Friends dumbass

absolutely not excited, I wanted cornbread outa here months ago... just wanted to see if there is any hope of salvaging the recruiting class and if there's any potential upgrades coaching at any position group that may help if we have to watch Pruitt completely dismantle the program next year...

That's not a very high bar.

think you may have missed my point. Gump can't win with talent and this guy can win with much lesser talent. So what could he probably do with higher-tier talent than he's used to coaching up and developing at Iowa St.? He'd probably be like a kid at Christmas...

It is ridiculous but our admin won't make the move that needs to be made.

A competent coach/staff with a competent QB and we would have already won at least 3 more so far this season.
Our QBs went 26/35 with 232 yards and 2 TDs vs. Florida and we still were never really in that game.

That's what this team is going to look like with competent QB play but bad coaching and decision making.

That's a 5-7 team next year.
