Dog, we’re looking at another year in the coal mines with Jeremy Pruitt and a ragtag group of assistants.

Neal Brown sounds like a Hawaiian vacation in comparison.
cmon man, rag tag?

Chaney, Tee, Graham... ragtag? Jeremy's issue is he thinks he can coach the whole effing team himself.

Kirk Bohls is basically the Jimmy Hyams of Austin, so it's official now. Herman's fate still up in the air. All the BMD's were ready to pony up to pay the buyout when Urban was the replacement, no such consensus on anyone else.

Texas you owe us. You take Pruitt and we'll forget the whole Alamo thing. Let you remember it all by yourselves.

We're still the real UT and you're still a uterus.

I'm just going under the assumption that JT Shrout pissed down his leg when he got in the Kentucky game right away. Either way, it was still beyond dumb to not let Bailey finish the game. Did nothing to be pulled.
He made a terrible throw. That does not mean he was scared or pissed down his leg. That was my issue with your post. I do agree Bailey should have stayed in.

I know I’ll get lambasted for this, don’t really care. Freeze ain’t it, y’all. Quit thinking that he is. The guy is a pipe dream at best, first of all. You can’t take someone with that much sketchiness in his past and throw him into this situation (dumpster fire) thinking it’s the magic fix to go win 9-10 games. Anyone thinking that doesn’t actually know how the metrics of any of this works much less the politics of any sort of administration including this particular athletic department. It’s kind of nauseating watching it cuz it’s like you pine for something you know won’t and shouldn’t be here.

When you are drowning, you will grab for anything that might possibly save you.

Freeze would have a few red flags even if he didn't cheat or call the escort services.

Having said that, I'm still sympathetic to the thought of hiring him.

Yeah that’s correct. But I can also completely understand why as well and I can sympathize with it. It’s not gonna happen overnight tho

Whoever the guy is... he's got to have more time than the sophomore year of his first real recruiting class.

We can also be patient and not extend the guy until he produces.
If in year 3 the program is going backwards, I think it is OK to conclude he ain't the guy.

This program is worse than Pruitt's year 1, and they are worse now than they are at the beginning of the season. The guys who have improved the most are Butch recruits; many of Pruitt's recruits do not appear to have gotten better from last year. We heard so much about how many guys they had out with COVID and contact tracing in camp. They actually played their best football right out of camp, with a ton of guys out and not practicing.

I like Chadwell’s story but not sure he’s had enough time to develop a solid philosophy. In other words, he’s still figuring out what he truly believes and can implement.
Now, Napier is a different story for me. After looking at what he’s done, he’s my pick behind Freeze. Maybe even tied with Freeze simply because he doesn’t have the baggage.

We need an offensive-oriented coach that has had success at the P5 level.

I can definitely agree with that. It’s just not like coaching a high school team. You can’t get your fingers in everything. That’s why you have assistant coaches in the first place.

If as many as 4-5 assistants are going to leave, either on their own or because they're being told to, then there really is absolutely no reason to blow the whole thing up.

The likelihood of attracting quality assistants to work under a head coach on a gigantic hot seat is about nil. This same situation was the proximate cause of Fulmer's own firing as HC, as well as Dooley and Butch.
