I would think Knoxville might mean more to him than Louisvlle, and it's a short hop away from Boone.
I equate it to Cut at Duke. Ship sailed. Plus I don’t think he’s a savior just because he’s a VFL. Good position coach and recruiter for that level of program.

Meyer was never taking that job. Too much work. It’s USC or Notre Dame for him at this point.
Booster and HS program expectation stuff is obnoxious over there. He has to appease both egos. Doesn't seem like a Meyer setup. Tennessee could give him an opportunity to avoid booster crap and who cares about HS egos outside of best players get recruited. But I don't see him agreeing unless we go 12 million a year

Probably true, and getting Dale Jones as a LB coach isn't a reason by itself to go for Satterwhite, just would be a nice lagniappe.

Speaking of Cut, things aren't going so well at Duke. Can't believe they'll move on him this year, but there are some rumblings.

Disagree...he’s done something. Quibble with the level of football but he beat a better version of BYU than the one who beat us.
Im not disagreeing with that about BYU. But the waters are deeper in Knoxville than they are in CC. Just like your argument against Tee, he needs experience at a bigger program.

He wouldn’t take the Tennessee job for $20M.

Believe it when I see it. They can’t do better unless they reincarnate young Spurrier...and he’d leave after one season.

Good morning VN,
Took me a while to get to the point where I could share this.

My 18 year old son has now been in drug rehab for 2 weeks. He started vaping, then graduated to vapes with THC. 4 days before my birthday, he fell down our stairs because he was too stoned. He was unable to even be coherent. Scared me to death. Took him to the nearest ER, he was okay once he cleared. Was stoned again on my birthday. Then swore to his counselor and myself that he was done (having a drug buy already set up for that same day.)
He agreed that he had a problem when I did a urine drug screen and it came back positive for nicotine, THC, Benzodiazepines, Tramadol, and Fentanyl. I did believe him when he said that he was only vaping. He realized that the vapes were being juiced by the dealers with stronger stuff.

He will hopefully come home a week from tomorrow. I am praying that he will understand how dangerous his activities were and that addiction is a lifelong issue.

If I could ask for prayers for his safe return and future, I would greatly appreciate it.

My children are my world, I think that he agreed to go to rehab because I told him that he was literally killing me. He could see the truth of that in my eyes.

Thank you very much VolNation.
I will certainly pray for him, you, and your family. I can relate to what you're going through. For the past 14 years, my wife and I have been struggling with our now 30 year old daughter who's a drug addict. Rehab, jail, lies, and so much more. you just feel so helpless. I pray you can get through to him now before it's too late. Addiction is not something to play with.

Tee couldn’t land a job at his level...Georgia Southern. Maybe land that first. South Alabama is calling his name.

Not sure he wanted the GA. Southern job. And unless South Alabama is willing to put money in the program, it doesn't matter who was hired there.

No way we could get this lucky. Duke fires Cut. He better be at least our QB coach next year.

OK. I'm on the train of get Herman over here and not waiting until he's fired. Perception, momentum, decent offense, can restart on staff and it's a decent name from a P5 power house.
So my question about Herman’s possibility, could we not get him on the cheap if Texas fires him & say we could hire him cheap with Texas paying the majority of his salary. That would mitigate some of the cost of paying Pruitt & another HC.
