I’m not sure if you’re serious. This post proved my post correct. Complete failure, followed by small success as interim.Had failed at Ole Miss and done well (on an interim basis) at USC. Way less calculated risk involved.
SIAP but I don't recall us talking about this...View attachment 328398
Agree with all that and wouldn't be completely against it. Just would prefer we don't go that route again.Players seem to love him. He's responded to adversity when his QB went down. I think he's a solid coach.
Not necessarily a good thing. Dabo is an example of going this route. And if he doesn’t have a huge ego, he has a helluva lot of confidence! When Tee was hired, I posted that I believed he was being brought back to be groomed as a candidate for HC opportunities. Not this one this soon! It’s a giveup. He hasn’t built a rep that would command respect. Pruitt was a DC with multiple NC’s on his resume. Position coaches of some note had worked for him. Even higher level of difficulty for Tee.Get him an Elite staff and let Tee be the CEO. HE doesn't seem to have the ego Pruitt does.
So start off with a failure at UT? Which one of us isn’t being serious?I’m not sure if you’re serious. This post proved my post correct. Complete failure, followed by small success as interim.
I repeat, NOBODY at LSU thought, maybe they hoped, he would win a natty. Which, LSU is the second best program in the conference, so that puts our job and the prospects for our job in perspective for me.
True, but I don't remember Dabo having this ego until he began winning. And I think the respect thing comes more from Fulmer and that's why we need VFL's and people with ties to the program in the coordinator positions early. I get it, its not a splash hire and it seems like another retread that's not going to work out, but with the right plan and nurturing from Phil I think it could work out.Not necessarily a good thing. It’s a stupid hire. Hope it doesn’t happen.True, but I don't remember Dabo having this ego until he began winning. Failed TWICE in the NFL as HC...well regarded as a DC. Hadn’t failed in college. USC was pretty much at the same crossroads as us. I wouldn’t go 90%. Whoever they would hire would get my initial support, regardless.Pete Carrol “failed” in the NFL the first time too and I feel like he did ok at USC. I’d give him a shot before 90% of the coaches that be been mentioned if he were available. But it’s an absolute pipe dream.
