I’m to the point where I just want an offensive HC coach that knows how to scheme, utilize the talent on the roster and recruit at a high enough level to battle for titles. I don’t care what school he’s at, what conference he’s in or how long he’s been there. We’ve missed out on some good coaches because of what we THINK we need and deserve.

I think I’m on the Shrout train too. HB is the future, but I think Shrout is better today.

Both are better than JG. It’s absolutely criminal that JG has started all season. That alone is a fireable offense
I've always been a fan of Shrout. He should have been getting all of Maurers game reps last year also. He has more promise than JG and Maurer put together. Never have been a fan of Maurer.

What's funny and sad at the same time is in year three of Pruitt, who would have thought our Defense would be this pathetic? I mean, you could argue offense, JG, blah blah, but Pruitt is supposed to be the Defense Guru...
We looked like hot garbage last night. In year three we are playing two, yes TWO converted RB's at LB... So in three years he can't even get a good solid base D, or 3-4 serviceable LB's in rotation, nor develop a 4-5* LB in JJP to make an impact after 3yrs in the program? Never mind what we are putting out there to cover WR's...Is he just really slightly above average coaching defense and has relied on FL St, GA, and Bama talent to mask his inability?

If I remember correctly he was described coming out of high school as being the most NFL ready or something like that.

The fake punt alone disproves whatever is in the article.
Nope. He almost always plays to survive. Never to win. His clock management at the end of the half was coaching malpractice but hell that’s been the case for three years.

All good coaches understand that the last four minutes of the 1st half and first four minutes of the 2nd are critical. We had 30 something seconds to try to go down the field against a not very good UF defense. We run one play and go to half. That’s after UF has scored and they were going to get the damn ball after halftime.

This guy doesn’t have a damn clue what he’s doing.
