Anyone else think Pruitt rotates too much on D? I’m not taking about situational rotation between big boys and edge rushers. It’s seemed like at points this year, he’s rotated players every single play. UT has had less than 11 players multiple times and been caught not lined up multiple times.

I said that when we were 2-0 and this board laughed at me but yea I believe it more today than then

So I guess Bailey practiced the best for the first 70% of practice and Shrout practiced best the last 30%.
Pruitt didn’t want either of them to put up the kind of stats that would embarrass both him and JG had either been allowed an entire game. He is so set on being right that I don’t think he wants any other QB to shine.

I know I’ll get lambasted for this, don’t really care. Freeze ain’t it, y’all. Quit thinking that he is. The guy is a pipe dream at best, first of all. You can’t take someone with that much sketchiness in his past and throw him into this situation (dumpster fire) thinking it’s the magic fix to go win 9-10 games. Anyone thinking that doesn’t actually know how the metrics of any of this works much less the politics of any sort of administration including this particular athletic department. It’s kind of nauseating watching it cuz it’s like you pine for something you know won’t and shouldn’t be here.
Is that why other SEC fans are hoping and praying we won’t hire Freeze because they’ve said we’d be hell to play AND he actually would come here? Yes, I want Freeze. Is it obvious that he should be our first call? Absolutely. Do I think it’ll happen? Not a chance with the incompetent leadership of this University. Will they hire another “hope and pray that it works” coach (Napier, Chadwell, etc.) that’ll put us right back in this same position in no less than 3-4 years? You bet they will.

Our biggest rival now is Vandy, not Bama not UF not UGA, and we’re even struggling to keep ahead of them.

To me, this is more evidence that Pruitt was bound and determined to show the world he was right about JG and everyone else on the planet was wrong. That is reason enough to get him out of here.

Spot on. It is and has been Jeremy. He constantly reinforces that belief with his own comments. His response to Phil on Vol Calls even stated it. He's "hard headed." In my world that means you are deliberately stupid. Not who I want leading the program I have loved and supported for most of my entire life.

Congrats on admitting to being a fair weather fan lol... who brags about stuff like this??

That’s how you start seeing more crimson and Clemson orange.

I am in West TN 6 hours away. Went into my local Lenny’s just for pickup for 10 minutes. I had a UT pullover on, briefly chatted with a guy with a UT hat on, and a guy with a UT sweatshirt on was coming in as I walked out. We have plenty of support here even in the down times.

I don’t think there are many positives at all, minus the fact that there’s still a few of the players that are actually giving effort. I’m getting real sick of this monacre that I’m some sort of soft fan that just sees rainbows & sunshine here. We’re hot nasty garbage at very best right now and I, like most of you, am not happy in the least. So stop painting me into that.
We are all just tired of losing. Nothing has changed in 12 plus years. We all watch the games, buy tickets and gear and get nothing in return. We are asked to be patient and we have. We're just tired.
I apologize if I seemed like an ass.

We called 2 TOs on defense in the first half which is a pattern

DM hinting it’s because Pruitt isn’t running the organizational part of the unit in practice but when game time comes around is making all
The calls.

He has to make a decision about what he is going to be on D.
Like everything else, micro manager

Imo it’s a HC that planned to let the DC earned his money and can’t stand not having his hand in the cookie jar on game days.
Well, it’s the same thing on the offensive side too, but it seems like Pruitt is more hands on in practice vs. the games.

Or Chaney is just better at ignoring him than Ansley is.

Pruitt is a good defensive coordinator. But he’s an inept head coach who cannot do this job.

Agreed other than I think Chaney does listen to him more than you think and that’s why the play calling is so vanilla

Terrible take as well. Again I don’t like the extension, but six games ago he was 15-12 and I’m sure everyone at that point was screaming about Pruitt leaving for Bama once saban left.

Most of our struggles are with the offensive play calling and not having a competent qb. The defense is gassed in the second half of most games after adjustments are made and our offense can’t stay on the field.

If I’m Fulmer then I am absolutely steaming that none of the ‘big boys’ have had the balls to step out and get a real cash pile going. It’s time for one domino to fall so Fulmer can start twisting the arms. Get that pot together and go get Freeze. Just like Mullen he has shown he can win with subpar talent. We can teach him all he needs to know about burner phones and ditching cars full of coeds errr hookers.

Boosters gonna keep on talking big while doing nothing except get in the way.

Him calling his own hookers is worrying to me. It suggests a tendency to micro-manage

Oh I don’t care. I stated my opinion after
The game and got blasted.

It was like I said want I said and then others either ignored it or said that’s interesting.

Nope. They told me I was wrong and they laugh 😂 faced me. I’m sensitive. 😂

This is why we have a board - we don’t have to agree. It’s good to debate and have a chat.

Some of my previous thoughts have been shifted due to some of the comments tonight on this chat.

All I saw was people like me posting why we didn't agree with your point of view. I didn't see anything personal but I could have missed that post.

Right, it just doesn’t present itself as ineptitude like it does on the offensive side. We line up correctly and all the presnap stuff, the plays are just doomed from the start.
