I did like that call because it's exactly the opposite of what they expected. If Florida really sold out, it could have even scored.

I think it was the very next play that Priest liked as well. HB threw to Hyatt, who got tackled for a yard. He said if Hyatt could have escaped that tackle, he would have likely scored with his speed. I was in the car the first half, so I didn’t see it.

If we get another Saban reboot I’ll start a fund and literally found my own university between here and Knoxville and find a way to play the vols every year and beat them. Stop, repeating, the same, mistake.

Sarkisian is more than just a Saban reboot. This is not the only job he’s ever had.

Would the hypothetical off-field issue do even more to prohibit us from hiring Freeze because of the nature of the issue?
Freeze was never going to happen. Tennessee fans are much more enamored with him than any other group in the sport.
Also, has something changed to convince you Pruitt is getting fired this year? Weren’t you pretty sure earlier that we would keep him another year? (Sorry if I’m wrong. It’s hard to keep up.)
1) I’ve always felt like the results would dictate it.
2) Reporting from national writers has suggested Pruitt is retained, and I trust them, so that’s made me wishy washy.
3) Everyone over there wants the thing to burn down, from the coaches to the support staff. I think if Fulmer had a clear path to the buyout money, it would be a sure thing. To my knowledge he doesn’t, yet.

Put it in Jackson. "West Tennessee State University" lol

Tim Priest said the first half play call with Maurer was a very good call. He said UF put 7 in the box expecting Maurer to run, and the pass worked.
I think they also used it to try to set up the second play, which did not work, but I agree, it was a good play call.

I am being hard and critical of HB - I was hoping for much more.

I was hoping for hope.

I wanted to see a future stud SEC QB.

Did any of you see that?

I sure didn’t.

And it makes me sad.
I saw potential. I also saw a kid that hasn’t received any meaningful game snaps all year and was starting his first game with a game plan that wasn’t doing him any favors. The one TD drive was better QB play than we’ve seen in Pruitt’s time here.

He took over a god awful Washington job and laid the foundation for Peterson to make a playoff run. He wouldn’t be my first choice but he is a much better coach than what we have now.

I’d take nearly anyone instead of JP at this point

it was his first true opportunity to show himself. Florida’s defense is bad but Grantham had them moving and shifting a lot early on to try and trick bailey. Later in the game they went really conservative and started playing a soft shell but all in all i thought he looked like he belonged which is all you can ask for. Especially in this crap scheme we call offense right now.

He didn’t get terribly fooled and make bad mistakes, he moved well in the pocket, he picked up yards with his legs, he showed touch on his passes... etc. I’m not really sure what else you could ask for

Peterson made a run because he’s a top 5 coach. They would have kept winning 7-8 games under Sark.
Look up Washington’s handful of years before sark took over.

Not debating that he didn’t elevate what Sark did but Sark got the ball rolling and there’s a reason why he got hired by USC

A day that will live in infamy. Dirty Germans.
Watching the Jeremy Gates Knights Templar deal on Deescuvry. Amazing what ze Germans did to its own people, and then to Soviet jews.

Had a friend in college, fluent in German, buddied up with the exchange Germans. It is true that the German Gov't doesnt allow any playing of or open discussion of the Third Reich. In fact, it is considered offensive to even mention it, even in an intellectual capacity.

I believe we have to allow coaches to grow and change from one place to the other. It’s nice if someone just keeps winning over and over and over but sometimes coaches have to be humbled either through adversity or trial and error. (Carrol, Saban at Miami, bellichich (sp) in Cleveland, etc... if you can visibly see how they’ve changed their coaching philosophy or gotten help for personal problems or something then you can take a shot on them. I’d much rather have a coach that’s been through some crap than one who hasn’t. That’s why I’d take Kiffin back in a heartbeat. He’s not the same coach now as he was when he left us.

If I’m Fulmer then I am absolutely steaming that none of the ‘big boys’ have had the balls to step out and get a real cash pile going. It’s time for one domino to fall so Fulmer can start twisting the arms. Get that pot together and go get Freeze. Just like Mullen he has shown he can win with subpar talent. We can teach him all he needs to know about burner phones and ditching cars full of coeds errr hookers.

Boosters gonna keep on talking big while doing nothing except get in the way.

I said the same thing in the members only group chat to @InVOLuntary @volatil and @Sugaray13...why not put Palmer, Johnson, or Hyatt in there running that route?
If it was Palmer or somebody that wasn’t usually on punt team all of a sudden, that could’ve been a red flag to them that we were running a fake. I’m guessing they used holiday because that’s who was usually out there for punt

That is one helluva way to deny history and prevent a repeat.

If Sark came to Tennessee he'd spiral back into alcoholism in a year and a half because of our disfunctional culture and climate. Though somewhat said in jest, I really wouldn't be surprised if that happened and I don't think it would turn out well for him in Tennessee.
