Recruiting Forum Football Talk III

Wouldn’t dare be the one to put this one into public consumption without some way to confirm it with people independent of the folks I speak with.
Not asking to publicly disclose details, but do you think this bodes poorly for Pruitt’s chances of year 4, certain staff members, or little chance of moving any needles other than riling up the fan base? We’re all looking for some glimmer of something to change.

Pruitt is less liked than any coach we’ve had in the football complex since our fall from grace. It’s part his naturally gruff personality, but the coaching staff refusing those pay cuts has totally severed all the teamwork and camaraderie in the building. Pruitt has gotten worse during our losing streak, and has again doubled down on the “I’ll be a coordinator in two days” talk. No one is happy over there and no one below the administration wants this thing to be successful.

The issue I’ve been told about is not of Pruitt’s doing, but could be a problem regardless of who is head coach next year. That’s all I’ll say. Hopefully it never reaches the public, if it’s correct. And I have no reason to think it isn’t.

Do you not think Bailey would have had a better game today if he had played against Arkansas and Auburn.
Does the playcalling get no blame? Does running it on first and second down then getting put in a third a long have any influence on QB play? Still don't understand the point of bringing in Shrout when UF goes to soft coverage and starts rushing 3 and 4. Bailey did fine and executed the horrible gameplan we had.

A lot better chance of leading us to 25 points if not making first start against #6 and having a completely vanilla gameplan.
UF defense isn't very good.

Vs Arkansas? No. They have a much better pass defense than UF. Auburn? Very similar pass defense. 111 yards would not have done it, chance to win about the same with the defense packing it in and us being SO predictable. 5.3 ypa just ain't going to cut it.
We had 185 TOTAL yards a couple minutes into the 4th quarter. That is possibly a season low, against a mediocre defense at that.

And YES playcalling has to do with it. It has all season! Chaney can't leave soon enough. Ughh this staff...

Tell us what you're referring to here man. We gotta know

Also, if I had to guess, I know Pruitt wasn't happy with the COVID protocols and loss of practice time over the summer. Im thinking maybe he went off on the wrong person. Or threatened to walk out due to the rules put in place thus forcing Fulmer to extend him and thus anger over that.

Well that sounds like recruiting violations or Title IX.

That sounds like a coed issue.
