Pitt could beat us and they probably would if we played today. Ole Miss is probably a loss, UK and Mizzou will be tough on the road. We could easily end up 5-7. Neither 5-7 nor 6-6 is worth him sticking around another year.

No one should be ok with 6 wins. We shouldn't be going into year 4 debating whether we can get to .500 next year or get to 7 wins with an upset somewhere along the way.

You're right...it is hell on earth.
Agree

Best hope or smart keeps slipping
A little and Mullen goee to the nfl
I figured that would be your response so let's look at FL and GA a second.
FL is very average on defense right now. They lose Trask, Jones is nowhere near the passer he is and I don't believe Richardson is either. Their O line is also very soft and they dont have much of a run game. They will take a step back a little on O next year. GA has major QB issues and discipline problems within their program. If JT Daniels isn't the answer they are in trouble. Bama is Bama and I'm not worried about beating them yet. But the other two will come back to the pack a little next year

Let’s talk about a possible scenario that could happen. Let’s assume that Pruitt doesn’t get fired this year, and he doesn’t barring a loss to Vandy if that game is played. I think everyone would agree, if we step back and think rationally, that if we had decent QB play, at best we could be 6-1 right now and at worst 5-2. Let me say right off the bat, I’m not an idiot in spite of what Kingston says, I know there are plenty of other issues, but I still believe that is true that with better QB play our record is much better (I know it’s Pruitt’s fault he kept playing JG).

That being said, JG is gone next year. So is Weinke who couldn’t develop a hot dog if you gave him a wiener and a bun. Chaney likely becomes the QB coach, and he has a track record for developing QB’s.

Pruitt hires Bo Davis for the DL coach, and we have a lot of experience returning there as well as a lot of young talent which allows him to assist Nieds and Felton with developing the LB position. In spite of what we think of him as a HC, the guy knows how to coach defense.

We then have a full offseason with spring and fall camp to develop our players. That 2020 class was loaded and they’ll have their first offseason.

We’ve already established that QB play elevates the team, so in the fall of 2021 either Bailey or a transfer plays really well for us. There’s only 3 unwinnable games, and TN goes 8-4. This shows enough improvement for Pruitt to land that loaded class in 2022. They finish top 10 in the recruiting rankings with Simpson heading up that class.

We then go into 2022 with a Junior HB, a Rfr Salter, freshman HB, that loaded 20’ class as juniors more hopeful than we are now. Maybe by then Pruitt has learned and is doing a better job. HB then hands the reins to Salter or Simpson who elevates the program even more

I’m not saying this happens, I’m not saying that I believe that it happens, but this is a possible scenario.
Why are you talking about Weinke's wiener?

Also, with an easy schedule like that, I could just as easily argue it would be beneficial to let a new coach get some faux momentum and easy wins as i could argue it’s an opportunity for Pruitt to survive.
See thats why I like a change this year. Its easier to sell 7-5 or even 6-6 to the 22 class under a new coach then it would be under Pruitt.

Kamala is originally from Canada. She might still have some pull up there
Not ORIGINALLY. She wouldn’t be eligible for the Vice Presidency. She lived there for about 5 years during her teens.

I think that we have significant young talent on this team. If, if, we can develop them and have a QB not killing us next year like we’ve had under JG, that scenario is possible
There’s young talent for sure, but I think one Trey and Cade declare for the draft and Kennedy moves on, the center of that offensive line is going to be a turnstile just like the tackles are now.

There’s no one on the defensive line an opposing offense has to prepare for.

We know this is a recipe for disaster even if HB is pretty good.

Add Brooks on the D line and hope Roman improves(I like him a lot.) I dont think Cade goes with the year he has and hopefully Jahmir comes back to solidify a tackle spot, and Wanya figures it out with a full camp. Carvin should take over the center spot and honestly might be better than Kennedy. Plug in Spraggins, Aphro, or Cooper at LG and the line should be fine.

Mark Richt?? Les Miles?? Cut?? What th...??? Good lord the BVS is flaring up in here... I guess when you’ve been overweight, balding and broke for so long, the ugly ones begin to look good. Smh... 😆
It's called beer goggles. Lot of women look good until you wake up the next morning.

On second thought, I'm not sure we can get to 5 next year.....if we have the same coach that lost to GA St. We look so much less prepared than every team we play. We were a muffed punt from losing to the worst South Carolina team in 20 years.

Hopefully I am wrong but I believe With Mullen it doesn’t matter what the name is at QB. When Trask leaves there will be another imo

Tom Herman or Napier, or anyone else at 4-0 and the fan base would be on fire.

Yeah, none of that is guaranteed.

It’s more likely everyone puts in 90% of the work because they know Pruitt is on the hot seat, team chemistry continues to decline, and no one develops just like this year.

True. But hopefully the players are as invested as they say they are and are willing to put in the work.

I think they'll still be effective on O, but they're not going to be anywhere near this year's team. But the original topic didn't involve beating them anyways. 8-4 or 9-3 is obtainable without beating either.
