Neverending MBRO memory thread

I’ll tell you one thing, if we go back to shortages on TP and dish soap and whatever, I’ll blame the manufacturers and retailers, not consumers including hoarders/ pantry builders. They all saw what happened in the spring, they all knew another big wave was coming this winter (doesn’t matter anyone’s politics; you’d just have to be deaf, blind, and stupid to not see this coming), and if they didn’t get a decent supply on hand (manufacturers) and anticipate demand (stores), they should all go get a job shoveling manure at a dairy farm until they grasp the concept that you have to stay on top of things. Grrrr

Anyway, got my pressure canner and ordered a small freezer today that will only (they say) take a week to arrive. Once I can get more Ball jars and replacement lids, I will leave the shopping rat race to the others!
Supply chains SHOULD be much better equipped this time around. I know my company has done a lot of work to make sure we are...I would hope our peers have done the same.

I know a guy who had a wedding to go to last weekend. He started feeling I'll at the beginning of last week. Knowing he didnt want to be a possible spreader, he went and got the nasal swab. Fast forward to Friday, he still had not received the results so he went and got the quick test and it showed him to be COVID positive. He gets home and, low and behold, he got the results back from the original test from 4 days earlier and it was negative.

Wow. I've heard several mishap stories about testing. That's one of the reasons I'm not so giddt about trying a rushed vaccine. Saw one on the news a couple of months ago. Man got a letter for his mom stating she had tested positive. Only problem, she died near 2 years ago from a heart attack!

Bout time to go get my girl from work. She has an away swim meet in the morning. Not sure what time I gotta have her at the school, but I bet it's very early!

Started to feel ill, got tested, maybe not infected long enough for the test to register positive, retested, and now he’s positive? 1605912891833.gif It happens.

Also, the tester first time around might not have scraped around enough. Eeeeww. This also happens.

And finally, the quick tests aren’t as accurate, as the White House found out.

It’s not a fault of the tests. No tests are 100% perfect, nasal swab tests can be hit and miss if you’re not (yet) loaded with virus, and this is a very weird disease. Good for him for being careful, and I hope the second one is correct.

Last time the Dr did tell Tiffany that the quick tests weren't very accurate. Poor thing has been tested every time they've sent her to the ER, that's why I don't understand why the hospital here did it again, she just tested the other day, and that came back already. Just hate with everything else, they keep shoving that up her nose.

I told her stay raised up as much as possible, because of pneumonia. I'm probably gonna end up out of work again.

SURELY TO GOD your employer will keep you on! If not, he is just despicable, plain and simple. If you don’t have medical leave, check into FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), although I don’t know if you’d be eligible (company size, etc.)

I can’t fathom kicking someone to the curb - a valuable employee - when they’re going through something like this.

Endless prayers for Tiffany, and for your job situation as well. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
