Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Oooo. Is Onelilreb a keyboard tough guy? lol He is in his eighties, former Marine, says what he thinks, a very good man. When I said he has a family full of nurses, I was not exaggerating.
That's great, I love marines. If you would like me to have a discussion with him about the various missteps of the ANA and their failure to support nurses in a meaningful way, I'd be happy to.
Let's start with the Carnegie Mellon research that's the ANA has taken up, ran with and driven experienced critical thinking nurses out of the profession. Instead we now have a whole new herd of rule driven, not common sense or critically thinking nurses, at the bedside. I've watched them almost kill pts because "rules".

Eli Lilly's bamlanivimab (monoclonal antibody) has received Emergency Use Authorization but is in short supply for now. The treatment acts to neutralize CV19 by binding to the spike protein and preventing attachment and entry into cells. It is given IV and is indicated for outpatients age 12+ with risk factors for progression to severe disease (such as obesity, immune conditions, chronic lung disease, asthma, heart conditions, etc).

Amazingly, it was developed in only three months after isolating the virus.
That is amazing timing. I wonder if they will limit the initial to those who are compromised. It would make sense to do so being in short supply.

Maybe we should just change typical business and school hours to match the times when covid can't be spread. It will suck for a while but we can adjust

Agreed. Flatten the curve again is so stupid. Doing that prolonged it.

Motto should be "protect the at-risk"
Agree 100%. Why is this so hard to understand???

Protect the at-risk, allow people to make conscious decisions about their lives and the risks they are willing to tolerate.
