For me the argument for "mail in ballots" is akin to asking for ballots for in person voting to be distributed outside of the voting stations. Why do we not hand them out before?

Who is they? The World? Last time I checked, the entire World is dealing with Covid, not just the US. If you have health insurance, you may want to seek mental health assistance. I am talking about from a trained professional, not from your local pastor. You need help from someone that has studied mental health issues.
