JG listed as starter for Auburn game

Yes. IMO, it matters. With JG, you get poor to mediocre play with no future value. With one of the young guys you may still lose... but you get the opportunity for experience and to correct weaknesses. You make an investment in future wins.
I think most thought that since this was a free year that Pruitt would roll with HB and get that experience and not have to worry about using his redshirt. Most coaches would have ran with this. Pruitt is too stupid to get out of his own way

Had the same idea. I though it would be as good of a year as any to 'experiment'.

So, I'm thinking Pruitt will put him in there for one series to calm HB's nerves a little, right? Right? TELL ME I'M RIGHT! If I'm not right, I said before, I'm on the fence re Pruitt. If he leaves Gitmo in the game, I'm officially off the fence. I vote OUT!
Hope you're right. Anxious to see HB play meaningful snaps. Incidentally, I like your cigars.

Maybe he should try a big fatty before game time.. It couldn't hurt..
Well hell fahr, I think you may be on to something. I really think if JG got a little 'loose' before the game, he might just be able to open up and slang that ball around. It's been many decades for me, but if I remember my few times in, it does loosen you up some.

No, but I fully expect him to trot JG out as the starter Saturday...

The guy is forcing me to believe he wants to be fired...

Sometimes it seems like, it's almost like a evil genius is behind this. Saying, we got them down. Now I'm going to send in one of my minions in and decimate them from the inside. Never let them off the Mat JP pour it on.

FWIW, the A&M depth chart had Bumphus on it and he's out for the season... Still hoping HB gets the nod.

Battered Vol Syndrome is strong in this thread

I was at Auburn in 2018

Hope springs eternal

JG was surprisingly good that day. It was an unexpectedly fun day to be wearing the correct shade of orange

JG is not afraid of Auburn. JG lit up Auburn in 2018, and JG will lite them up once again, what say ye?

Please don't throw tomatatoes, throw snickers or milky ways please
I say you may not understand the phase "lit up"

At this point, I'm shocked we haven't seen more opt outs. Given the absolute lack of playing time for the vast majority of the freshmen, I'll be watching those players along with perhaps some of the sophomores when the NCAA green lights the one time transfer. Won't be the least bit surprised to see a rather large exit from the team. Frankly, I won't blame any of them.

Good grief, Pruitt has had not one, but 2 bye weeks to prep the young guy. I guess his covid excuse is out the door.

We're 2-4. He's had at least those 6 weeks plus the fall camp to get any one of 3 guys ready as the backup. He's had numerous blowouts to rep the backups and younger kids. He's wasted every opportunity or they just can't coach these players up. I suspect it's a combination of both.
