🤔
This sounds like Colton Jumper all over again.

*IIRC, didn't he really off games and we couldn't understand how he stayed on the field? There was a rumor that his family were big donors too.
More ridiculousness. Say what you want about Butch, Hart, Jancek and Shoop. Daddy Jumper didn’t have enough moolah to finance their legacies...and no way to hide it. And no way Daddy Guarantano has enough money to even pitch the idea to a coaching lifer in Pruitt. Sometimes people just make bad decisions on their own volition.

Butch went 0 fer in the SEC
apples to oranges.

🥴 oof....my bad because SC and Missouri are something to brag about 😂😅 did butch ever get blown out by Kentucky at home?..apples to oranges my ass..it fits along the same guidelines that got butch fired and he did have more wins.

What?? Lol. Butch was a handful of plays from being a borderline playoff team and a loss to Vanderbilt away from a bcs bowl. Pruitt is Gump and won 8 straight games.... you really think this job is that hard to win at?
The east was down to a historically low level and he struggled. It was hard then, it's harder now.

I'm genuinely curious.
siap, if it became the goal/purpose over there to make this decision for the betterment of the program, they'd find a way, and money wouldn't be the road block.

is money an issue? yeah, i think it is. we're buyout U. i'm sure we're still paying someone somewhere lol....and i do think covid has hurt the pocket books of many, including some boosters and donors at UT.

but these guys and the power brokers that make these decisions didn't get to the level they're at because they stalled out at the first obstacle they ran across.

if it was important enough to the right people, it would happen.

it's not, so it won't.....all the rest of this stuff about Freeze the past couple days is "for entertainment purposes only"............lol.

Honestly these games getting postponed or especially if they get canceled are going to save Pruitt his job... I just don’t understand UT AD. I refuse to believe money is that big of an issue.... they’ll make back plenty next year with a full stadium if you bring in a proven winner. If Pruitt is out there next year you will see about half capacity. Fans are losing interest in general with the way college football is a 4 team race then you throw in the fact we are a terrible team. Nobody will show up.

Hope we get boat raced by Vandy if we play them.

he struggled is putting it mildly. gave away games to FL and OU and ARK in 2015. gave away an East championship in 16. crashed and burned HARD in 17.

two different kinds of frustration....we were really close in 15/16, and utterly/udderly (lol) failed to take advantage of those opportunities...as we sit here today, it still seems we're as far away as we were when Pruitt got here....logically i know that's not entirely the case...we need a qb that simply doesn't suck out freaking loud!!!!.......but as each season passes and the results stay largely the same.......................................stuck in the mud.

Chris Lowe on The Swain Event, again states UT is Freezes dream job. But, does not see UT firing Pruitt this year because of $$$$

Which is why we cannot have nice things.

Remove COVID from the discussion. You cannot reduce your expenses low enough to account for long term declining revenues. You have to grow the revenue base to make up for declining income and possible future losses. The only way to do that in football is to deliver a winning program that sustains over time. That's not happened for over a dozen years.

Tails in seats once COVID departs. That's all that matters. The donations go up, the gear sales go up, the concessions sales go up, ad revenues go up, profit margins increase based on increasing demand, etc.

To do that requires a capital investment into potentially elite level coaching. Dools, Botch, and now Jeremy, were hopefuls. There was minimal evidence they could handle being an elite, SEC level HC before their hires. Dools was a joke of a hire based on SEC royalty. Botch was the 9th choice Hail Mary by Hamilton, Jeremy was a wannabe with zero HC experience despite his DC pedigree. We all counted on Phil to help him over the hump. That hasn't worked so far, it's only gotten worse.

It's all on the UTAD/major boosters. Fix it.
