Windy's football discussion thread.

Well, took two years but I outfought sepsis and am back to work. Currently have lung cancer pinned to the mat and hope it gives up and doesn’t kick out. So, I guess the answer is so far so good. Thanks for asking my friend.
Sepsis got the better of my wife’s uncle in ten days and he was healthy. Got it from a steroid shot. So that’s awesome. As for the lung cancer we will all pile on so it don’t kick out. We gotcha.

Commentary from tonight's game and what football has become in general. Stop celebrating like you have made the play of the year on nearly every play. Imagine celebrating for 10 seconds after every 3 point shot in basketball. Imagine the first baseman running the ball to the outfield after a double play or after an out where he had to stretch to get the ball.

From around CFB

BYU is 8-0, Cinci is 6-0, Coastal Carolina is 7-0, Marshall is 6-0, Liberty is 7-0, Nobody cares about ND
Vandy is 0-5, ULM is 0-8 (alas, P40s), Kansas is 0-7, Penn State has yet to win a game (0-3)

I liked Iowa State's comeback victory over Baylor.
I was saddened by Miami's 4th quarter surge to defeat NCSU.
The PAC breakfast game was decided by 1 point (The Song Girls won).
Indiana is 3-0 after defeating Michigan.

I can't stand when they celebrate after a 40 yard run...then the next play they fumble it. Yeah that celebration was worth it..

I analogize UTAD to someone driving down the Interstate with a sack full of puke in the backseat because they're worried about the fine for littering.

cancel culture & not every State is on the same page with this covid stuff ( you live in Florida and its open - me Illinois and most of it is closed )

I don’t like the cancel culture at all, but to me that is not what this is. I agree, states are not on the same page. A cohesive federal response would have been helpful, in my opinion.
