well, we disagree obviously. i do think money is an issue this year. and i think the ?'s about Fulmer and his longevity as the AD are factors as well.I disagree. When we get blown out by AM, Auburn, and UF the heat will be so high. Everyone will be screaming for a change and once that happens, you have to make a change. Like I said, 60-75k at Neyland will be worse than a buyout and new coach bringing in 90-100k.
Ditto.is it wrong thath i'd settle for just not being miserable about TN football anymore? there's the utopia that is TN competing with UGA and FL....and there's the reality that we're competing with Vandy for worst in the division.
i think i'd settle for like 5 or 6 years of 7 to 9 wins consecutively.
I agree. I hate that it is not going to work because I like him. I don’t get the name calling and people claiming he is stupid. The man went from an elementary gym teacher to multi-millionaire. He is not stupid, just not ready for this type of job.
Yeah but would fans?is it wrong thath i'd settle for just not being miserable about TN football anymore? there's the utopia that is TN competing with UGA and FL....and there's the reality that we're competing with Vandy for worst in the division.

He’s beat FL. He’s put his team in positions to beat UGA with zero offense. KY is a program changing QB away. We thought we were there to start the year. At this point I am far from convinced our only problem is QB play.Very good defensive coach, I'll give him that. But he may be even more lost on offense than we are. KY also gave him way more time than we would.
Kirby isn’t a good coach. He is winning strictly on talent. He not only can’t win big games, he usually gets blown out.How sad is it that since I can’t enjoy my own teams success, I have to settle for the satisfaction in seeing uga get boat raced again this year.
Top 3 recruiting classes every year and Kirby in year 5 still gets smoked by comparatively talented teams. Couldn’t happen to a better person.
No no noAm I the only one that doesn't want to hire Freeze?
First, I have extreme doubts that any major coaching change will come after the season. Maybe, there's some shuffling of position coaches, but Chaney and Ansley stay. Pruitt is not going anywhere unless they lose every game, and even then, I'm not so sure.
I'm not denying that Hugh Freeze is a talented, offense mind and has shown he can get players. AJ Brown and DK Metcalf were his recruits, and those dudes look like top 10 wrs in the league as second year players. What bothers me about Freeze is the sleaze and the misconduct. At least Kiffin was up front about being loose with the rules. Freeze does the worst thing. The "wolf in sheep's clothing" thing. He presents himself as saint to families, and then get publicly accused of multiple recruiting violations, which he then tries to blame on Houston Nutt. Of course Nutt's lawsuit led Ole Miss to learn that Hugh has been calling up prostitutes on his work cell phone. Then the only job he can get is Liberty, who has had their own share of scandal and questionable practices.
I don't want the dude. I don't think he can recruit well without cheating, and he's clearly shown he is incapable of cheating well. Everytime someone brings up Kiffin, you always get a crowd saying he'll be a program ruiner. To me, Freeze is that guy.
We can find someone better.
Even if it is, its only one more year and then we see what head coaches we can get. If you hire Tee or an up and comer, you have to give them three years and if they don’t work out, we have set ourselves back then another ten years from firing Pruitt. You only make a change right now for a proven winner and head coach. Pruitt is still recruiting well and he is an actual football coach, but may not be suited to be a head coach. I would rather sacrifice one year (next year) than risk five on another failed coach. We only make a change if Freeze or Meyer want to come. IMO of course.Idk. It seems inevitable that next year will be awful as well. There’s no saving this ship imo. Might as well get the rebuild started w a VFL like Tee I guess. I know that’s an awful take but at least Tee loves the university. Pruitt will be laughing all the way to the bank merrily as he’s fired.
He needs stud players at every position. I'm not impressed. He's never lacked talent except here and this defense sucks. Almost Sunseri level bad. To me that's how you judge a coach whether it be the head coach or a coordinator. Do they play over their ability?Agreed. I think Pruitt is an elite DC. He is not a good head coach. Some coaches are just meant to be coordinators. Same thing with Muschamp. We can all agree Pruitt will be a major programs DC if we let him go.

Clamoring for Freeze since Jeremy wants Bama DC again.
well, i was speaking for me.Yeah but would fans?
I mean, if in 2017 we had went 6-6 and got to 7 wins with a bowl...in year 5...does Butch survive? I'm a bit skeptical. People were also irate when we won 9 in 2016.
I think it's easy to sit here now and say we'd be happy to settle...but I don't think that would last long.
