I honestly can't think of any HC that both exists and would come here rn. Talking a coach that has at least won their division in the SEC. There's basically Saban, Kirby, Mullen (probably will this year), ...Gus?, ...Les Miles, Urban, Pinkel.

I’m not shocked that you don’t know of any head coaches that would come here. There are plenty and ones that are better than Pruitt.

This. We all knew we were a step behind UGA Bama and FL but no excuse to not beat UK and Ark. That’s all on coaching. I also think with good coaching we keep those other games at least respectable.

We have so much freakin talent being wasted and not developed on this roster... SMH

We have 2+ coaches that shouldn't make it to Tuesday without being given their walking papers.

If we haven't progressed in 3yrs under Pruitt and are sliding backwards, it's never gonna happen.

If Freeze will come here, you go get him, and then swap out the buyout checks from Butch to Pruitt and move on, never looking back.

This move will salvage most of the recruiting class.

There's enough solid talent on this roster that Freeze and a functional staff could and would instantly raise the bar having us firing on all cylinders an we will see young studs making plays.



The AD will F this entire thing up again and we will watch Freeze beat our ass next season at SC while our program continues to crumble.

Rinse repeat the next year after we've kept him too long and it's a complete rebuild again.

He could do better with what we tried against Arkansas. But long term in a season he’s James Banks currently...just smaller. That DeSoto linebacker that managed to track him down most of the game, sits on the bench and doesn’t travel at the next level. All bet’s off after a season learning, but he’ll get eaten alive in the SEC with what he’s adept at currently imo.

UCF & Cinci don’t just roll em out there. Since frost left UCF has major problems with discipline and offense.
Cinci ended up being terrible under tuberville.

We don’t even get too QBs Bc of the mess we’re in. The top QB coaching camp in America advise all of his kids not to come to Tennesssee...

I think we could get Freeze and Sarkisian right now. Both are good offensive coaches. And if we are looking for an up and comer, give Joe Brady a shot. We know our offense would be unreal.

I'm worried that the coaching staff we have currently isn't going to fix the fixable problems he has like throwing off his backfoot and not setting his feet. They haven't fixed Maurer.

It’s not the cheating that bothers me, it’s cheating publicly and poorly that worries me. We’re all dirty in this sport, but you have to be smart about it and Hugh has proven he isn’t. And he’ll protect himself over the program if it comes to that point.

Also, I cannot stand the faux-religion he uses to recruit kids. Some of the stuff he did to try and sign Drew Richmond was rightly criticized on here.

He’s a snake oil salesman of the worst kind. He also happens to be a very good football coach. I won’t deny that. I, personally, would rather look elsewhere.

If that puts me in the minority then so be it.

It is the SEC. Splash plays will happen, so you’ve got to be able to make splash plays to keep up. Just like your QB will face pressure, so you’ve go to have a QB that can deal with it.

I don’t want to temper your excitement but joe Brady will be a NFL Head coach next season.
We’ve seen the Sarkisian movie before, he’s not a good head coach.
Freeze is probably the most likely established coach who’d take this job.

I’m checking out until the coaching search guys...I’ll be lurking and chiming in on game days and every once in awhile, but I can’t justify the time anymore. Hire Freeze. Double-Gaulden’s to everyone else. Its the move that must be made.
