They are starting JG after the bye... (this week's depth chart)

Who knows how far along Bailey (or maybe even the other two guys) could be if he was allowed some on the job training before now.

It's mind boggling. Halfway through a season where eligibility doesn't mean a thing and our stable of young QBs haven't really even been on the field. The SC game is the only game that really did not have any room to insert them. The rest of the games had plenty of opportunity for on-the-job training. I can be a lot more forgiving going 3-7 when our young QBs are gaining experience for the future, but to see #2 trot out there series after series when the games are already basically decided is more than I can stomach right now.

I figured it out. Coach JP is faking out Arkansas. You put JG as starter on the depth chart and Arkansas is saying to themselves "no way any coach could be that stupid" so they prepare for the better options, then on game day, BAM! You trot JG out, completely faking them out. Then Arkansas is like dang, we prepared for the good QB's, what are we gonna do now against this crappy one.

I’ve gotten to a point that I trust Pruitt with every other position, except at quarterback now. I’m not knocking JG at all, but now I’ve come to that realization, that it’s time for a change. I’ve had faith in Pruitt from day one, and I still do, except at quarterback now. That’s is saying a lot from me, because most of you know I’m very optimistic when it comes to Pruitt. Every time that JG starts, I pull for him, but is is getting to be to much, and I can’t stand this gauntlet anymore. FOR GOODNESS SAKES, WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR A NEW CHANGE? Does anyone trust Pruitt with every other position? I do!

Not when they can’t cover a slant route. Over and over again.

I think he would. Seen several worse. Apparently means different things to different people. Car stops moving and some would say “apparently it’s dead, let’s buy another one!”, others put gas in the car...

I'm convinced now of one of two things being true. Either Tennessee has zero serviceable QBs at this time and the offensive coaching staff has completely sh!t the bed or Pruitt is purposefully mailing it in this season to keep his young quarterbacks from getting injured. He's sacrificing JG to the football gods in exchange for future success.

I’d go with bed excrement thing...without the zero serviceable QBs caveat.

I don't see much good at DL, the secondary seems lost a lot, linebacking is okay, the OL isn't playing up to the physical talent level it possesses, the kicking game is regressing from last year, the skill positions are hampered severely due to the coddling/disastrous management of the QB position.

So I guess I can say, I wish I had your faith. Because right now we are at sub-Butch level at the same point in their tenure regarding developed talent. Will Overstreet was talking about it Friday on the radio. He said Butch's year three team had a head and shoulders better roster than this team. He's not wrong.

I don't see Hyatt on the depth chart. Certainly doesn't mean he isn't going to play, but he's our best weapon on the outside. Needs the ball more.

I don't trust Pruitt on anything right now. He hasn't proved that he's remotely ready to be a head coach at a power 5 school

just proves the coaches don’t trust the other QB’s. JG sadly is the best the hapless Vols can roll out

That is absolutely impossible. There is no way JG is the best QB on the roster. It’s impossible. He’s not average. He’s not just bad. He’s awful. He costs his teams a chance to win games. He’s a liability in the purest sense of the world liability.

You folks are so easy to upset. Just a game, relax, your income most likely won't be affected, Christmas will still be 25 Dec.

It’s a football message board. What would you rather us talk about? No one said it was more important than our job/kids . Nothing wrong with people being angry on not getting an even marginal return on their time/ money investment. This football program is a national joke, those who aren’t outraged aren’t really paying attention.

Playing JG and winning gives Pruitt a little more rope, playing JG and losing will put him past the end of the rope. Some fans are off the wagon and a JG loss Saturday a lot more will jump. History has not been kind to coaches at UT after the fans have lost faith. In a throw away year he hasn’t played well, it makes 0 sense to not give someone else a shot. Fans will be much more patient if you lose with Bailey.

If JG gives us the best chance to win then the coach is conceding we have a very small chance to win.

Against Arkansas.
