Yes. The writers of those textbooks agree. JP Morgan, Rockefeller, and 'The Jungle' are probably 5 pages apart in every US history textbook in the country. I'm surprised you didn't bring up "gilded age" and Henry Ford's assembly line as well šŸ˜‚.

Itā€™s stupid. Your plan that is. Those who are at danger should shelter in place. Your plan will put millions out of work. Destroy huge business who hire tons of people. They will wake up with no job. No way to pay their .mortgage. The business wonā€™t pay rents. The owners of that commercial real estate will go belly up. You compared this to WWII. Your solution would reek far more havoc. Not to mention the ruining of our kids future, if itā€™s not already, through crippling debt. You ready for austerity measures? This virus is not that lethal to people under 70.

Unlike yourself ..... many on here realize the average age of death is 80.... with additional comorbidities. If you fall into this category .... stay at home and isolate yourself. The rest of the world needs to get on with life.

I'm 31, know of about a dozen people in my network that have had COVID, none have even had symptoms.

I had someone I knew very well, and her sister, hospitalized from the 2009 flu outbreak.

We can all share anecdotes. The data shows death from COVID or the flu is the exception.
