Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It’s time to shut everything back down with today setting a world record of new cases at over 100,000. It’s time to do the following:

1. Emergency $2,000 UBI per month for the duration of the crisis.
2. Emergency business relief for all small/medium businesses. One way of doing this could be to nationalize wages like Germany.
3. Finally pass universal healthcare so no one is stuck with an outrageous medical bill due to the crisis.
4. Implement a nationwide mask mandate with criminal penalties for failing to follow it.

So...most recommendations are that if you are near someone who has been tested positive, you need to get tested. And then those recommendations say that if your test is negative you still need to quarantine for 10-14 days. So, you tell me. Why are we testing if the result doesn’t change the treatment?

I just got my results and tested positive. It is weird that you quarantine for either 14 days after exposure or 10 days from the day you were tested after receiving a positive test result.

Trump is such a jerk. Now he's blaming doctors for coronavirus - saying doctors are lying.

What a jerk. I honestly can't believe anyone here is dumb enough to vote for this malignant punk.

"With three days to go in a campaign that's been dominated by the pandemic, President Donald Trump made the baseless and politically perilous claim that American doctors are profiting from Covid-19 deaths during a visit to the critical electoral region of the Midwest, where former Vice President Biden offered a contrasting message about unity and promised a more forceful response to defeat the virus.
Trump's appalling attack on doctors came on a day when the US marked a new global record for daily coronavirus cases and 17 states were seeing record hospitalizations. Instead of addressing those challenges, the President tried to explain the mounting US case count by making the false claim in Michigan that US doctors are inflating coronavirus case numbers because they "get more money if someone dies from Covid."

"Our doctors are very smart people. So what they do is they say, 'I'm sorry but everybody dies of Covid,' "

And the blistering response from the President of the American Medical Association:

"The suggestion that doctors -- in the midst of a public health crisis -- are overcounting COVID-19 patients or lying to line their pockets is a malicious, outrageous, and completely misguided charge," Dr. Susan Bailey, president of the American Medical Association, said in a written statement.

"Throughout this pandemic, physicians, nurses, and frontline health care workers have risked their health, their safety and their lives to treat their patients and defeat a deadly virus," Bailey added.
