Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

My mom teaches at a private school and they are rocking and rolling. Enrollments up and they're getting to capacity, as far as I know.

This has all solidified to me that my wife and I will never, not ever send our kids to public schools here in the US.

I dont know what your beliefs are, but sending my kids to Christian school is 1 of the very best decisons I made ever. We are far from wealthy, were spending more than 10% of our combined annual income at first, now not quite....it hurts a bit, no brand new cars and an extra 1,000 plus a month would have bought us a much bigger house etc...

The best money I have ever spent, hands down. Zero regret, my son is done with his 13 years there and a freshman in college, my daughter still in 5th grade...i am well over $100k in and its the best money ever spent. The curriculum is light years better and more advanced, discipline problems don't exist, classroom size never exceeds 20...my wife and I both went to public school. I bought too much dope, got in too many fights, laid up in girls houses too many times without my parents ever knowing a thing ...so far so good on keeping my kids away from the same mistakes I made. God is great, and I never deserved it. Best of luck brother.

So here in Virginia, Northam is talking about shutting down SWVA ( conservative part of the state ) down again 5 days before the election and this includes schools too but just in SWVA. We had 8 cases in Roanoke County yesterday lol

I loathe Northam, but in my school in SWVA since yesterday, we've had 7 confirmed positive student cases, 2 confirmed positive teacher cases, 2 buses fully quarantined because kids who tested positive sat in the back of the buses, and a retired principal and good friend (who is in bad shape) turned away from a Ballad hospital because there was no room. My wife has a compromised immune system, and two of the students who tested positive were in my classroom this morning.

Paris, France in uprising over COVID-19 lockdown. 430 miles of traffic backed up trying to get out of the city.

How about they just unseat macron. Form their own Gov and be done with the EU.

Apparently Macron has made some controversial comments about Muslims recently due to terrorism. This is what unfettered immigration gets you.

Speaking of immigration, I was listening to Mark Levin and he brought up ilan Omar as an example. Used to there was a criteria for getting into this country. How does a America hating person like Omar get into this country? What does she add? Now he even mentioned this doesn't mean blind loyalty but part of coming into the country used to be swearing allegiance. She and several others seem to hate it.

I believe she came in as a child with her family

I’m willing to bet nobody died. Pretend your post was about the flu. Think about that for a minute or 2. Then realize that this is so overblown.

Just wait until they release how many students are failing "virtual school".
The government solved the problem of kids failing school 30 years ago. Trust me. They aren't worried about that. Any kids who logged in more than twice get an A. Everyone else gets a B. Problem solved.

Turns out it's way easier to get stuff done in the government when none of the public school pions know how to add or subtract anyway

Washington, Russell County etc. I get it a little because of the limited resources. However if lock downs taught us anything the first time around its that they don't work.
