So, just to be perfectly clear: If Tennessee makes and actually plays in the four team college football playoff after the 2021 season, I owe you $100 (USD).We will do playoff.
I and no one else knows if he can be great, when he does come out on the field, there is more life in the team. I don’t know if it’s because of him or the JG fatigue. When Maurer is out there don't it to you look like it's the missing part of the offense? I am probably wrong but he looks like he could be great if given a chance and not hurt. It doesn't mean I am set with him I hope HB and Slater know they can beat him out. JG didn't have turnovers this game so that is a good sign but I just think there is a limit there.
QB is a much harder position and this particular freshmen has not had any where near enough reps. No need to break his spirit... Remember, Pruitt seems to be building a program, not a team. He has set a standard and intends on keeping it. I would be disappointed in him if he didn't keep the standard high! He is making them earn the respect of the teammates and building towards the future it seems to me.Yep, so why can't our freshman qb? I'm not saying he's gonna be, but I'd rather see him or Maurer vs Arkansas than JG.
Not to get back into all of it, but I don't get how constantly getting blowed out helps them respect each other. Too much evidence of the opposite actually, there was a thread in the FF about a defensive leader making tweets about needing a qb change. But again, I'm gonna stop, just replied because of the respect thing. We'll see what the future holds.QB is a much harder position and this particular freshmen has not had any where near enough reps. Jaylen Hyatt looks like he could play for Alabama. Coach Pruitt said in his interview that there were some more freshman receivers with just as much tallent as Hyatt but they are not ready yet. Just be patient. That's how I honestly feel. Just look at yesterday, Maurer comes in late, and not once given a chance to throw the ball. Hard to trust a coach saying someone isn't ready when his best chance at winning is getting us blowed out game after game. Again, I'm just in a funk, tired of not even being competitive against anybody. There's 5 games left, if we get blowed out at Arkansas, abd he still sticks with JG, something needs changed.
