I am not much of a fan on the positivity number. Our nursing home can’t open to visitors since we have a positive rate of around 20%. I looked closer. Around 10 people a day are getting tested and 2 are testing positive. I live in a county the size of Rhode Island
That’s why when positivity rates start exceeding 5%, it’s an indication to really ramp up testing. Increased testing will then either confirm the high positivity rate or elicit a more accurate pattern.
