Alabama has an ELITE offense.
It’s old school and probably unpopular, but I think we need to take the air out of the ball today. Be very committed to the run, play action, bleed the clock, and play heavy coverage on defense. Try to avoid the big play.

We probably won’t win, but it’s the most likely route to keep the game respectable. And if you get a couple of turnovers, who knows?
lets just play hard, no excuses. leave it on the field. what do we have to lose?

Bama is 73rd out of 79 teams in passing defense this year though. Their defense is a no where near as good as usual. UGA could have had a lot more in the air last week, but Bennett couldn't get the ball there.

Don't remember even being aware of Coastal Carolina athletics until they won the college world series a few years ago. Now ranked #25 in football...just 4 years into being in the FBS. What a time to be a..."Chanticleer"...

Schiano has Rutgers looking solid. I think I was in the minority of people who would have gladly taken him if not for his shady past with Penn State. I think he's a solid coach.

Unreal their climb
but also way over rated

We have only ran play action 18% of the time this season. One of the least in the SEC. Not sure why? Seems counterintuitive to a team that wants to run the ball. But I still think run and PA are the way to go today.

Watching OM and I like how when it’s 3rd or 4th and 4 or 5, they actually throw to the first down. My biggest gripe of our play calling this season is we throw 30 yard passes on 3rd and 3.
The Spurrier style. Nice if it works...but...

I'll say - if we are on our half of the field, then cool...can play for 4 downs anyway.

Yeah I haven't understood that at all either, unless we just don't trust our pass pro that much.

Helton used it to great success and even last year some of our biggest plays were off PA. On top of that, we run very little RPO...so we are instantly taking 1 of the 5 elements of an optimal offense away (optionality).

We don't motion often either. Defenses aren't having to make decisions.

Tony Elliott needs to be a HC soon. He's elevated the Clemson offense the last six seasons. Still only 40 years old.
I'm not in the camp who thinks good offensive scheme and play calling has anything to do with being a good head coach. Chad Morris had that offense rolling too.
