Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Lies and the lying liars that tell them...

This is why people know that Trump has absolutely FAILED us Americans in the pandemic. He lies even about the most basic facts surrounding it, and surrounds himself with "yes" men and sycophants.

He MUST be removed from the White House.

Trump has repeatedly claimed “we’re rounding the turn, we’re rounding the corner,” regarding COVID-19. “It’s going away,” he said during the debate Thursday.

Here's the latest graph on infections. Look like it's "going away" to you?

Atlas, who is not an infectious disease expert, is now a White House adviser on the coronavirus and has publicly downplayed the virus. Reports from The Washington Post said Atlas, a fellow at the conservative think tank Hoover Institution, has been pushing herd immunity inside the White House, and Trump has been listening.

On Sunday, Twitter removed a tweet by Atlas, who posted: “Masks work? NO.” The social media platform stated the tweet violated the policy on coronavirus misinformation.

Further, the worst pandemic in a century and our President DOESN'T GIVE A RAT'S ASS!

He's not even TRYING to fix it. Not. Even. Trying.

"... Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's leading infectious disease expert, said Friday that President Donald Trump has not attended a coronavirus task force meeting in "several months"and the meetings themselves have greatly "diminished"."

Today, Donald's in Mar a Lago and probably will play golf, while Rome burns.

The stats on deaths with the rising rates? Seriously the rising rate matters not. More testing would account for rising rates.

I’ve had a hard time finding this information, but it would be nice to know that the actual hospitalization and death RATES are. What’s the rate of positive cases that are hospitalized, and what’s the rate of hospitalized that die. That info is important because the raw numbers for cases, hospitalizations, and deaths will ALWAYS continue rise.

Southwest Airlines says it will sell every seat

Southwest to end silliness of not selling middle seat tickets.

Delta is the only one of the big 4 still leaving seats open now.

On a related note, Six Flags is now filling most every row on coasters. No more leaving every other row empty like they've done since June.

Also, I scored $18 round trip tickets for Feb to visit Texas. $60 RT tickets to Tampa in Dec and $60 to visit Dallas in Nov. Good time to find deals on flights.

It has..when the virus first hit positives were around 20% now around 5% which was the WHO criteria for opening back up..we are testing over a million per day....MP is ignorant I had to remind him yesterday that Pelosi doesn't break electoral college ties....they get their dem talking points and run with them

If they make it to the ICU with high levels of inflammatory markers the % for survival is not good. We had a 21 year old pass after 3 weeks, remdesivir did nothing. He came in after waiting too long with symptoms. He was one of the outliers. That seems to be very key, early treatment.
Most of the other pts were over 75 and they didn't survive it. My heart went out to their families.

There are many studies that show that masks are not particularly effective vs the flu. Why would it surprise anyone if masks perform similarly vs C19?

To my pro-masking friends out there I ask this (to which I've gotten no answer): Why would C19 react differently than the flu in regards to wearing a mask? Can anyone here answer this?

As a scientist I'd be surprised if studies showed different results than the flu thus this Copenhagen study makes perfect sense

Any ideas why the 21 yr old succumbed? Preexisting conditions?

I think he had some undiagnosed autoimmune from the problems his mom described. Plus he waited for 5 days of running a fever and being short of breath. He got intubated quickly. He was close to respiratory failure when we got him.

SMH.

Are you really a nurse? Come on, man. Positivity rates are also increasing, so it's not just the # of tests done resulting in a higher number of new cases.

You must really slurp up everything Dumb Donald tells you to believe.

I am not much of a fan on the positivity number. Our nursing home can’t open to visitors since we have a positive rate of around 20%. I looked closer. Around 10 people a day are getting tested and 2 are testing positive. I live in a county the size of Rhode Island

Age (strongest predictor) Older people are much more likely than younger people Does occur across all ages Around 10% of 18 - 49 year olds Around 22% of over 70s
Symptoms in the first week of illness turns out to be very predictive.

You don't understand that even positivity rates mean nothing if not correlated to death rate Monte?
