Is Pope Francis the false prophet?

The whole notion of "the" false prophet is nothing more than a misapplication of a book, Revelation, and the often held belief that their will be some apocalyptic battle between the forces of good and evil in the end times. The better question is why do some fixate on this belief? If you subscribe to the idea that Revelation is to be taken literally then it contradicts many of Jesus' teachings and the teachings of the Gospels. So, no the Pope isn't the anti-Christ or "the" false prophet neither is any other person who has been labeled such during the last several centuries. Anyone who teaches a doctrine outside of what the Bible teaches is a "false prophet", there have been many and there will continue to be many. The Bible is very clear on its stance on homosexuality but that doesn't mean you can't or won't be forgiven. I don't know why so many Christians fixate on that sin when there are plenty of other ones destroying society like drug addiction, pornography, abandoning children, greed, etc.

I know myself well enough to know that it isnt my place to judge individuals, I have too many planks in my eyes. An organized religion, and the doctrine, are a different story though. Faith is personal, and I respect others beliefs are different from mine. When it comes to the monoliths that are the Catholic church, and LDS church, I feel like any criticism is fair.

As to yall folks with your fake offense on behalf of LGBTQ867-5309 people...you can get that bullcrap out of here. It isnt gay bashing....or "homophobic" (never met a single person scared of gays) ....to call sin out as sin. Every organized religion of any significance says its wrong, because it is. The human race would go extinct if everyone were gay, because we weren't designed for that. I have no problem with gay folks as people, but I won't be forced to accept or condone their poor choices as normal anymore than I would condone any other sinful and self destructive behavior. What you do in your bedroom is your business..but don't publicize it and tell me its normal when I know for damn sure it isnt.

You must be talking about his Miami Dolphin days.

I would counter that we aren't the ones who fixate on gayness at all...in fact, I have never known a single Christian at church, home, or anyone else to walk up to me and start talking about homosexuality. It doesn't happen.

The difference between that sinful behavior and the others is that all the heroin addicts in America don't have pride parades, campaign for special rights and privileges, dont even talk publicly about their sin at all.

Im fact...they always try to HIDE their sin. Nor do they try to force feed the world the idea that their sinful behavior is the "new normal". Thats the difference. Not 1 single behavior that you mentioned destroying people has a rights group, an agenda, lawyers, the ACLU....

Do I really need to go on, or have you figured out that you made a dumb analogy yet?

Nailed it.

Not to mention this push to normalize homosexuality has lead directly to the encouragement of mental disability, irreversible surgical castration and alteration, hormonal adjustment, and, increasingly as of late, pedophilia.

The very movement that people profited off of wasn't going to go away the moment gay people could "marry"; it was going to find the next cause and push for it. That's why we're seeing attempts to add "MAPs" to the unending stream of meaningless letters in the label, why child drag shows are a thing, and why there's mainstreaming of totally degenerate behavior (and anyone speaking or standing for morality is called a "bigot").

You should take a bible class. That's quite an ignorant post. You're completely wrong.

The reason the sodomites need so many parades and days of recognition is that their conscience is telling them their lifestyle is not natural. They must convince themselves their lifestyle choice is normal.

Regardless of your views on gay marriage, I wouldn't say that they campaign for "special" rights or privileges; rather, they want to be able to marry like straight couples.

You are still totally free to think that homosexuality is a sin, even if gay people are allowed to marry.

Allowing this is complete rebellion towards God, God intended marriage to be between one man and a woman. This is how God allows humans to flourish. The Homo's need to have uber rights that are higher than religious rights.

Higher than religious rights? You still have a right to practice your religion and believe what you believe, no?

Freedom of religion is different than freedom of worship. Freedom of religion allows you to hire People of the same faith, morals, etc... the sodomites want that gone

They simply want equal protections. You don't lose a damn thing and no one truly knows what his intended since he made people the way they are. Who are you to question his design?

Christian doctrine doesn't teach that God made us all the way we are. It teaches us just the opposite.

God has nothing to do with genetics? Interesting
There's a reason why Adam and Jesus were called sons of God and the rest of us are sons of Adam.

The theology is actually very explicit that God created Adam in His own image. Adam fell, and humanity has been marred ever since.

Adam may have created the sinner to sin. God didn't.

Who is pushing to normalize pedophilia?

Nothing about the Bible is explicit. It's a bunch of murky, contradictory musings by various ancient sand dwellers. I can learn as much from reading my coffee grinds at the bottom of my mug.

I believe we all have a particular inclination towards a particular sin.Be it pride, gossip, sins of the flesh, alcoholism etc. we all struggle daily with “the thorn in our flesh”.
Gay rights advocates try to normalize and mainstream their sins instead of struggling against them. Homosexual acts are no more or less damnable than any other mortal sin but their attempt to make them culturally vogue is especially contemptible

This thread is the epitome of VolNation. Hatred of Catholics and LBGTQ folks, all in one spot.

It's beautiful isn't it.

The truest colors come out by the evangelical right when it comes to judgement of homosexuality.

I like this pope, seems like a guy who should be speaking for the God.

There's nothing to struggle against since straight people do the same. Only difference is the religious have claimed marriage that can allow for their desires to be satisfied while preventing gay couples from doing the same. Quite the forgiveness racket you've got going on there

Thou dost protest too much.

You sound like a guy that is struggling with competing thoughts.
