I used to check the MA state website regularly because it was a good state covid page. Months ago they had a very visible stat that showed the average age of death. It was 78 back then. I went to the site today to look at it and it wasnt there, at least not as easily visible as it used to be. Guess they figured it didnt fit the narrative very well.

In this instance the state official is telling the individual, piss on you. A medicine will be offered, after being scientifically approved, and the state is telling the individual too bad, we decide what you should or should not put in your body.

Why would you think the state telling the individual "F you" is worthy of celebrating?

And the feds arent mandating you take this, so this isnt the state telling the feds to piss off.

What if the Fed said the vaccine was mandatory and a state said piss on the fed?

Sorry but states rights goes both ways.

I think what he's getting at is that the state should have zero say in 'approving' a vaccine- look at how the government decided people couldn't try drugs to treat this thing at the start of it all.

Great, I'd be all for it then. But this isnt that.

A medicine being available and some governor saying "no, I will not let my citizens have access to this in my state" is the opposite of freedom. Which is a principle held dearly by people that are more inclined towards state rights.

I think the states should have even more say in about everything that goes on within their borders. There is the BORs that supersede state limits but outside of that citizens get what they vote for.

The citizens of CA want their governor to do that so why should anyone including the fed question their wishes?

I don't think states should be in the business of taking away someone's rights. I doubt you'd support California banning guns for its citizens

It goes back to my statement about the BORs supersedes states limitations. Vaccines are not covered in the BORs

You know every citizen of CA wants their governor to do this?

And those that do, they need a governor to restrict use of a medicine in order for to keep said medicine out of their body?
