I truly believe JG must be a much better QB in practice than at game speed. He seems to have a very difficult time making good decisions in games. His indecisiveness creates time for defenses to react to his throws. CJP even alluded to that post game when he said throwing the ball 35 TDs across the field to possibly gain 5 yds is not a good decision. I don't know if that was a shot at Chaney or JG. In other words when the lights come on he ain't the guy.

CHANEY. Pure and Simple. Third week in a row I have posted this comment. JG is living up to his dismal potential and why oh why can't CC see that?

I have ZERO respect for Chaney and his lack of game plan. Please CJP, step in or you too will fall by the wayside as a result of a coach that has absolutely NO IDEA how to read defenses and play to your teams strengths. KY athletes being better than ours is preposterous. Our kids are depressed and embarrassed and now it is up to CJP to right the ship, which will be phenomenally easy once Chaney is off our boat!! Good riddance CC, and don't eat the door on the way out!!! (btw, anyone having Randy Sanders flashbacks....???????????)

Yes. It was a shot at Chaney. Not good and especially when Chaney is probably not playing the QB he'd rather be playing.

JG has always been a practice All American. He does "drills" good. He apparently doesn't make mistakes in practice. In practice, things don't break down like they do in games. In practice, they blow the whistle before a QB has to get creative or throw on the run or improvise.

It was MORE than a rumor last year that Chaney wanted to have more of a QB competition and wanted someone other than JG. Pruitt and every other HC names the starting QB. They may or may not give the OC what he wants. IMHO, Chaney does not have confidence in JG but Pruitt makes him play him anyway.

CJP admitted they focus all their attention on JG in practice so he isn't as good as we thought he was...he is better than the other QB's who basically get no reps.

JG is also playing against U.T.'s pass rush and U.T.'s loose coverage in practice.

Fair assessment but, I dont want a HC that demands the use of certain players but, I also dont want an OC that doesnt stand up to the HC
We are 2-2 and basement dwellers once again. Groundhog Day 2020??

I don’t think it’s Chaney. I think it’s more about Pruitt, Tee AND Fulmer. All 3 would agree on whatever they agree on. It’s obvious that Chaney is not on the same page. But I’d put money that Chaney wants to play HB

Isn't it the job of the OC to call the plays? Our play selection this year is of the quality of some po-dunk high school. CC IS responsible. CC must go.

I said I didn't see any smoke to this fire a few weeks ago.

Hard not to call that a smoke signal.

I've heard Chaney wants to retire here, but is this a resolvable situation? Chaney clearly put himself in this situation IMHO, but getting thrown under the bus or having cheap shots taken at you..........

I’m not sure this is correct. @de1conley share a txt with someone at practice that proves he is not a superstar in practice either. He also went on to say he is not the guy. Can’t believe anyone would think that.

You're correct and when I posted it ppl were mad at me. I'm not a sunshine pumper. JG has NEVER been good. This offseason in scrimmages he did the exact same **** he did yesterday. The defense was picking him off left and right. Ppl can remain in denial but dude needs to find his future profession and get an early head start on it and gv up football.

And that is the problem. Of course if he gets 40 reps a practice and the others get none or <5-10 he will look better than the others. The others didn’t even have a chance to show their talents.

And if he gets hurt, we have no backups who have taken practice snaps with the actual game plan.

This is coaching malpractice.
