BYU has the fastest riser in the next NFL draft in Zach Wilson. Kid that we couldn’t believe bested us is third on several QB lists behind Lawrence and Fields...right above Trey Lance.

Nobody on the team will say it publicly or what they’re really thinking, but there’s no confidence in JG. The body language on the sideline after the 2nd pick 6, and the lack of effort on the pick 6 by our defense is all I need to know.

Pruitt needs to let go of Friend, Weinke, and Chaney this off-season.

In the meantime, he can never play JG again. That would be a sign of irredeemable incompetence and the players know that. They just looked so deflated yesterday as they watched 2 hand KY the game. That kid is broken and it’s cruel of Pruitt to keep putting him out there and making everyone involved in UT football suffer.

This year doesn’t matter anyway. Use it as an extended preseason for HB.

At this point I don’t understand why you wouldn’t play Bailey.

It’s not about winning anymore. We are not winning anything this year with 2 SEC losses.

We need this year to be about development.

So I would play every young gun you got. He mentioned having 26 guys who could play from the Sunday scrimmage. So play them. Develop them.

That’s something fans can get behind.

But if you are trying to salvage a season a d get to 6-4 or 7-3 and trot JG and a few of the same guys out there you will lose this fan base a the team.

So on the Bailey drive at the goaline.
Pruitt said the first fade was on Wideman for getting jammed.
The drop by Jabari was on him he didn't sit in the zone and instead ran into the defender.
He didn't say too much about the 4th down play

I challenge anyone to name another RS Senior QB at a major program with as many complete breakdowns as Jarret Guarantano.

Okay, now is gut check time for the VFLs.
In 1984, I was a student at Tennessee. I was at the game when Tennessee lost to Kentucky in Neyland. It sucked then and it sucks now.

Here’s the entire schedule and results that year:

Washington State W
Utah W
Army Tie
Auburn L
Florida L
Alabama WIN
Georgia Tech W
Memphis W
Ole Miss W
Kentucky Loss
Vanderbilt W

Bowl game: Maryland loss

We beat Alabama at Neyland 28-27. It was absolutely amazing. If you look at the schedule, we lost 2 back to back SEC games then rallied to beat bama.

Also, look at our OOC team schedule. No cupcakes. I have to say that I miss those schedules where you actually knew something about the OOC opponents.

The fans were upset about the loss to Kentucky, many wanted to fire Coach Majors.
Know what happened the next Season? Sugar VOLS happened. Was still one of the greatest seasons in Tennessee history.

Yesterday I was extremely pissed. I was disappointed. I wasn’t going to watch any more Tennessee football this season.

Today, I wake up, low and behold, I am still a VFL. This is beat bama week. bama beat the crap out of uga last night. Coach Pruitt has the chance to be the first to beat saban.
Let’s get fired up.

I think that Bailey will get the start against bama. It’s Time!

Chaney isn't going anywhere. He just got a 3 yr 1.5 mil contract which isn't up until 22. He was Pruitts do over after Helton. They're not going to shell out a buy out for Chaney and pay the contract of a new guy. Chaney was the do over guy

His inability to show emotion or grit is beyond comprehension. How someone can play at that level and have no emotion is beyond me. And yeah your totally right, the rest of the team follows his lead in hay account. We need some vocal leaders to step up and stay on the mountain if were gonna turn this thing around

He needs to do some coaching and change the offense up. There’s no creative getting our playmakers the ball

There was also an uncalled pass interference on your second point. Nothing blatant...but uncalled. For a token first opportunity at this level, there was something to this effort. First QB to really even target Wideman. I’ve seen his name in the box scores, but he’s just been on the field.

I agree with this. Chaney needs to go QB, get a bonafide OL guy and pay big for him...Or HER, let's not be sexist. And give TE to an ace recruiter. Weinke sucks if no one has been developed to beat JG out.

Its hard to get creative when you dont know if you're getting jekyll or hyde with your QB. He does need to do better hes had quite a few calls ive questioned this year. But he's also been calling games with one hand tied behind his back.

And execution has been poor too. I've seen times where he had the right call but OL or QB messes their pants

I'll have to look for the PI i hadnt paid that much attention. But honestly I had forgotten how big Wideman was. But yes I agree Bailey showed some tools now its up to the coaches to mold them
