My optimistic take is that perhaps the SEC is mostly just crap this year and it’s gonna be a bunch of crappy teams randomly beating up on each other and everyone finishes 5-5. Outside of Bama and UGA that is.

Our roster is still crap to be honest.... we have some good players but we have two high school wide receivers playing corner. Don’t think flowers has ever caught an interception that hit him right in the hands. We have low ranked no names as our best edge rushers. We have a running back starting at linebacker. Henry T is our only player that looks like he’d play on an elite team. Our OL isn’t playing well. Our RBs are scat backs. Our wideouts are all low ranked guys or freshman. We don’t even have a TE and the two use are low ranked kids who’ve barely played in 4 years. Then we all know what we have at QB. A 5th year senior who is the worst player in UT history followed by 2 low ranked scrubs for backup QBs and we have one glimmer of hope that our 5 star freshman turns into an elite QBS. Bottom line is we have to recruit better and get some sort of pulse on offense. I’m out on Chaney and Weinke.

Look, our heads aren't in the clouds, and maybe this was just a clunker game, but if Pruitt keeps trotting JG, then hed'f better win 2 of 4 between FL, A&M, Auburn, Bama...or start HB, if lose 6-7 games so be it, at least he can say we were breaking him in.

As much as I hope JG never sees the field again, I really hope the idiots don't start sending him and his fam death threats again. That was just ridiculous, and should never happen.

This is the same thought I’ve had today. Going to be a hell of a few days for JG. Honestly, I’m over the loss. I’m hopeful we’re starting the HB experiment, but at the same time, I feel bad for JG. He shouldn’t be out there right now. That’s on the coaches. Kid’s going to have a tough week because some grown men put him in a situation he’s not capable of handling. JG takes the heat from the fans while the adults - the coaches - cash their checks. Appreciate Pruitt defending him in post-game press conferences, but how many times do you have to defend a kid before you stop trotting him out there and exposing him to the - at times - over the top criticism that follows? Pruitt has failed in this. He’s done a disservice to the team, to JG, to the program, and to the fans.
