OC deserves blame too. I get it- you want a pound of flesh. But whatever. Pruitt has been brutally honest since he’s been hired. It’s just a matter if you like what he says or not.

I don’t want to hear a damn thing from media or coaches about defense giving up because the coaches offensive players calling clearly gave up on that 3rd and 19 down 17 in 3rd qtr and you run draw. The defense was still fighting until those two pathetic scared of Jg play calling series. Once you see the offense coaches didn’t believe how do you expect players. It’s pointless to force Chaney to call plays with a kid he clearly doesn’t like

I mean our Tackles and RB aren’t doing great in pass pro at times but JG isn’t helping them at all. He sits there like it’s 7 on 7 with no pass rush. If he would move in the pocket he would avoid some hits, sacks and might even pick up some yards. No OL will block perfect in this league. QB has to help too and his terrible awareness to feel where the rush is coming from along with holding ball too long doesn’t help. Some of the plays today you saw the rush from a mile awaY but he didn’t and there was wide open run lane to step into

Exactly. No one is going to have a clean pocket every snap in the SEC. Got to have a QB that can deal with it either with his arm or his legs. JG cannot. Many times all he would have had to do is step up in the pocket, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him do that in 5 years.

100%...it’s almost like he has no peripheral vision or that 6th sense. It blows my mind how discombobulated our offense looks. Nothing in the passing game looks smooth...like it is all forced. Other than a deep 50/50 ball it’s tough with no rhythm.

If they’re too scared to let JG throw, they should’ve put someone else in.

I could go either way but he makes a compelling argument. 🤔

I don’t think there should be much of a debate. You start Harrison Bailey every game going forward. We’ve seen JG’s ceiling... 5 years ago. Shrout and Maurer aren’t the future. Bailey gives us just as much of a chance to win as any other qb on our roster.

I just watched the interceptions by JG. GTFO Pruitt. Receiver had a db all over him for the first pick and should not have been thrown. The second is flat out terrible. These excuses are Butch level and I am truly starting to think Pruitt is in over his head. We needed an innovative offense to compete with the big boys since they out talent us and we went with as basic of a scheme as possible. I love how it throws other players under the bus and benches them for one error, but JG literally costs us games and he keeps throwing him out there. I think the team is starting to turn on him and their lack of effort today may be just the start.

If it’s not Maurer or Bailey then he is wasting our time. The only two kids in that QB room with some IT factor to them

I’m guessing Chaney has input into who plays. Otherwise, why take his input and let him run plays?

Chaney should know he’s got to help if they send JG out there. He’s not doing that...like passing across the hashes on 3rd and short, which he also did against USC. No creativity in the running game. It’s a bad performance all the way around.

So at this point what's the goal this year, 3 more wins? Arky, Vandy and hope to steal one against AM or Auburn? And then lets say we finish 4-6 or 5-5 what's the goal for next year?

I don't want to think about it. We started terribly last year and finished strong. Who knows, maybe we come out a different team after the bye week and Bailey impresses down the stretch. Or... they continue to start JG and we hopefully, by some miracle, get to 5 wins.

They must not be too scared to let him throw all the way across the field. It’s maddening. I never played football...but why no rollouts, sprint throws, misdirection. He’s not good, but he isn’t getting any help either.
