Tennessee continues to shat the bed, while we extend mediocre coaches for millions of dollars. Tennessee football had been dead for years 10 years or more, face it folks Tennessee will never get back to an elite level..
This season is about to fly off the rails. We just finished the easier part of the schedule and we do not have a viable option at the most important position on the field.
So, this is going to be a 2-8 to 4-6 campaign for yet another losing season. Pruitt will get next year no matter what, but his seat will be very hot. Another losing season and he won’t survive IMO. UT will have no choice but to fire him.
No. Pruitt just got an extension. He owns the QB situation. He owns the D and the baffling inability to stop anyone from completing passes in the middle. But he's safe for now.
He can lay blame off on Chaney or other assistants but UT will not fire him. They can't afford to pay him.
Bailey was committed long before Haynes King was on their radar. Additionally, I say this again.... The idea that Pruitt signed a 5 star QB while deep down he didn't really want the guy in his 3rd year is downright laughable and foolish. It wasn't like his first class where he could take any 4/5 star player that he could get his hands on. To say Bailey wasn't wanted is just dumb. You even just admitted in your moronic logic.
Pruitt does not have what it takes to win in this conference. He’s a good guy, a decent recruiter, but ultimately he is not able to put a decent team on the field. We could blame COVID for a cruddy year, but the basic mistakes we are seeing over and over again, the lack of discipline, poor game plan/play calling, and inability to develop players is all coaching.
