Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

A USMC sniper was real good at his job, and he had a method. He would yell out some insult at the enemy and when someone stood up to reply, BANG - one less insurgent!

After every mission the company commander would ask "How many insurgents have you shot today?"

However, on this particular day when asked about the number killed, he reported "Five killed and I let one go, sir."

"Let one go?" roared the company commander. "What do you mean, you let one go?"

"Well, sir, I yelled out 'Osama is a Homo!' Then this big insurgent stood up and yelled 'Hillary is a Bitch!' I just couldn't shoot a fellow Republican!"

Anybody else sit through the '73 Auburn game when we punted on first down? Miserable day, but one for the books. We were ahead when the rains came, and Auburn couldn't do anything good with the ball in the rain. Today they'd probably have to delay the game.
Unless I am confused, I saw that on tv when I was in Connecticut.

I always have to look up the year. It was an awful day to sit through a game, but what happened was too entertaining to leave. We were ahead when it started pouring, and neither offense could do anything good with the ball; so when we'd get it - generally on a turnover, we punted it back almost immediately. One thing I remember was the field was so slippery from the rain that when a player fell he skidded like being on ice. After that day, I've always thought that if rain was in the forecast, do whatever it took to be ahead and then play defense if the rains came. Game delays probably negate that tactic now. It would be interesting to read a Marvin West recollection of the game.

I hope this guy doesn't sneeze or have a coughing spell anytime soon while out on a ledge here.
Looks like he's frozen with fear and can't move another inch and hopes some buddy will come by to help.

The guys on the team are saying we should have freshman Dee Beckwith back this week for the game. At 6ft 6 and 225lbs..and fast...he can be a difference maker from day 1 because he is a match up nightmare wherever he plays. I hope we can use him the way UF uses Pitts who has 7TDs in 3 games, and is also 6ft6 with speed. If Chaney can't figure out how to get him the ball, he is an idiot. In practice, Dee has played WR, slot, RB(!!!), and wildcat QB...he was a high 4 star recruited by Bama etc..

Also, there is a podcast linked in the FF by a former UT lineman from just 2? Years ago ...I listened to him break down the UGA game and look ahead to UK...he does a great job from and Xs and Os standpoint. I will be subscribed to his podcasts from now on. Yall should listen and see ...Kyler Kerbyson is his name. He was a backup lineman 2 years ago, not sure if he was still playing last year? Regardless, he has played with these guys and coaches, good listen. Go Vols

Some weird stuff going on in the SEC today. Saban gets ejected by covid. FL-LSU postponed because too many FL players down with covid. With a shortened schedule and limited open dates, it makes you wonder how the SEC plans to count games if they can't be made up. Do teams eventually forfeit because they didn't manage, do they prorate, ...

I think that's the most likely too. Probably whatever it takes to makes sure Bama wins the west (unless there's total chaos and collapse without Saban running the show) and GA takes the east. Bama had a rough time on defense Saturday, and apparently Saban read the DC the riot act. It's gonna be interesting if he gets covid from Saban. The see through masks that Smart and Saban wore are apparently Shema97. I was curious because they appear to be more for show than filtering, but the Korean company claims they are effective ... I have doubts even though they have specs. Sorta like Reagan except question and verify.

I think there is a set number of players you have to have out to forfeit. Not sure if there is a rule on coaches.

I'm thinking he wants to know what kind of catamaran to rent in the caribbean.

Moorings, unless you're on a budget then Sunsail or Footloose. If you want a little more convenience, like a water maker and the efficiency of getting from one uninhabited desert island to another, go with the MarineMax 48.

Go with the Moorings. First class operation but I’ll admit I haven’t used them in a long time. However from talking to others whom I know have the quality doesn’t seem to have fallen off and the boats are definitely rental cruiser friendly.

I'd like to charter a cat someday, but I'm too lazy until my grandkids get old enough to do the hard work.
