This helps to understand why we got beat..

Maybe he looked into the eyes of the Georgia defensive lineman and started hearing "my heart will go on" in his head, and couldn't bring himself to be mean to his former teammates.

Yeah, I doubt UGA misses him. They seem to have moved on quite nicely.

Not sure we did much well on offense, but here are some reasons why we were beaten. Georgia’s defensive line mauled our offensive line. Our QB has to protect the ball and didn’t. The offensive game plan left a lot to be desired.

UT Offensive Line Grades

Brandon Kennedy81.8 pass block, 50.6 run block — 69 snaps — center
  • Trey Smith 69.9 pass block, 69.9 run block — 68 snaps — left guard
  • Darnell Wright 52.7 pass block, 51 run block — 67 snaps — right tackle
  • Cade Mays — 52.7 pass block, 32.9 run block — 66 snaps — right guard (1 snap at RT)
  • Wanya Morris — 39.3 pass block — 32.3 run block — 68 snaps — right tackle (1 snap at RG)
Impact on QB
  • Cade Mays — two sacks, one hit, three hurries, six total pressures and two penalties
  • Ty Chandler — two sacks, one hit, zero hurries, three pressures
  • Eric Grayone sack, zero hits, one hurry, two pressures
  • Darnell Wright — one sack, three hits, three hurries, seven pressures and two penalties
  • Wanya Morris — one sack, zero hits, three hurries, four pressures and two penalties
  • Brandon Kennedy — one sack, one hit, three hurries, five pressures and three penalties

Here’s the correct reason...

View attachment 314081

Now CA wouldnt you get upset if someone said the reason you lost to your girl friend was 1) you couldn't stay in the pocket very long
2) All you had was a short game
3) you will never be on top because your always on the bottom
4)all you did was hold it
5] you had way to many "turnovers"

Cade Mays - - - I have watch his play at Ga. over the past mainly because of his being from K town area. The only impression I have gotten of him is "he plays soft". Maybe that is because I did not respect his "wanting to play for championships" response for going to Ga. After watching his play so far this year I have not changed my opinion, he plays soft. Yes he looked pretty good against Mo., but he was just one of the whole line looking good against a weak D-line. I expect the reason Ga did not fight too hard when transferred was they knew they had better just waiting for the right time.

Horrible blocking by RB, 3rd and 5 and all 4 routes are go routes one of the Slots has to run a route over the middle were the LBS both come on Blitzes middle wide open. IN CHRIST ALONE
I didn't notice that before. Chaney knows UGA is blitzing on every play and getting to JG...so he has all the receivers running 10+ yards down the field on 3rd and 5? JG had no chance of success on that play. I get that some people are sick of him and they can't get over his mistakes in the past (some still stuck on sideline demeanor against GT), but anyone with a shred of common sense can see that Peyton Manning or Tom Brady would have been doomed on that play.

If so, they sure took advantage of that misplaced mercy.

Not saying those Offensive Grades are wrong, but who produced them....where did they come from?

Good point. The grades were provided by Pro Football Focus (PFF). I have no knowledge on whether the stats are valid or not. But, the Stats do seem to mirror what we saw on the field.

Yes they would have only escape would be throw the ball out of bounds 10 yards down the field or take the sack protecting the ball. JG at least needs to protect ball but the routes gave him no chance.

LOL...no they wouldn't because they would have checked into another play at the LOS. We've had Qbs that could do it other than Manning. Unfortunately, we are saddled with JG, who has poor instincts

I don’t need any help understanding why’s he how we got beat like we did. I seen it happening live as many more Americans did that tuned in to the game!

The offensive play calling was not good at all. That is on the offensive coach. They had better build their offensive around the QB, whoever that happens to be.

There's been two consistent problems since Pruitt took the job.

Guarantano starting is one and Will Friend coaching the o line is the other. Both reared their heads Saturday.

Not seeing either of those things changing in the near term.

Yeah, it was really bad.

No draws, screen passes, or misdirection that I recall to try and slow down that pass rush.

In no way does “that” help me to understand why Tennessee had some many dumb penalties, mental breakdowns, and horrible turnovers.

“That” doesn’t help me to understand how Tennessee was spotted 7 points.....Georgia’s coach gave Tennessee another 10 point swing in Tennessee’s favor.....and they still lost by 23.

There simply isn’t an excuse!
