I have no idea what the GOP plan is. You were arguing the merits of the ACA. I am stating it is junk for over 90% of the country. Maybe it would have been simpler to have a government subsidized plan for those with pre-existing conditions, once again offer catastrophic ins, and repeal the law that requires hospitals to admit those without insurance. I do know one thing for sure, what we have now is crap. Coverages are worse, deductibles are higher, and premiums are higher. How is that a win for the people?
Shhh out of here with those factsJapan and Germany were both primarily rebuilt and modeled after the US economic system. Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands have minuscule populations and little to no military expenditures. I have no idea why you listed the UK. It’s healthcare system is not better than the US. Australia and Canada have very good healthcare systems but again you are ignoring the fact that they have very small populations compared to their size with very little military expenditures. If you want the US to become like Western Europe then you are going to have to eliminate illegal immigration, an international military presence, capitalism, and kill off about 100 million people
Based on actual metrics vs some random dude’s opinion, yes. What makes our healthcare better. I haven’t seen anything tangible than your random thoughts. Our access is better because you will be treated and have a better chance at living.
Did you even look at your link? Do you really believe healthcare is better in Costa Rica, Dominica, Chile, Columbia and Morocco than in the US?
We currently have 26 million uninsured non-elderly Americans... which is actually close to a 50% improvement from pre ACAInsurance like every other adult in America that desires it? My wife has employer based insurance was diagnosed with sarcoma and accrued over a million dollars in care costs. There are very few medical procedures that are more expensive with the exception of extended care like a nursing home but you aren’t referring to that type of care. Was it difficult to pay at times? Yes, but very doable and she received the best care possible at MD Anderson and we don’t live in Texas so I am not sure what procedures you are referring to or what individuals cannot get insurance that choose to?
Democrats Claim Amy Coney Barrett Confirmation Would Threaten Health Care
Democrats have pivoted to a new line of attack in Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s upcoming confirmation battle, declaring that the health of the American people, particularly those with pre-existing conditions, hangs in the balance, despite President Donald Trump vowing to protect them as part of his America First Health Plan.

Well, they don’t, so...
Danny Williams, the premier of the Canadian province of Newfoundland, traveled to the United States earlier this month to undergo heart valve surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami.
Each year, tens of thousands of seriously ill people come to the United States hoping to access our acclaimed care. While we do not have exact figures, an economist from the United States International Trade Commission estimated in a 2015 report that between 100,000 and 200,000 international patients per year make this journey. They come with cancer, heart disease and a host of other medical conditions. Most are incredibly sick and see us as their last beacon of hope.
The only thing Canadian patients are "guaranteed" is a spot on a waitlist. As the Fraser report notes, in 2017, more than 173,000 patients waited for an ophthalmology procedure. Another 91,000 lined up for some form of general surgery, while more than 40,000 waited for a urology procedure.
All told, nearly 3% of Canada's population was waiting for some kind of medical care at the end of last year.
