Fake news...infection rates have actually decreased as testing has increased...the US had 50k new cases but tested 1.2 million on Friday..that's a 96% negative rate 20201011_083132.jpg

Are you saying we have herd immunity? It would be helpful if you would point to the stats that refutes EL's claim. Can you do that? Does 4% positivity rate illustrate herd immunity?
Yes, you are FAKE NEWS.

They are honestly like children having a tantrum over a toy taken away..its pathetic...I was bummed but I'm not calling for coaches to be fired...we are moving in the right direction imo
Reminds me of the Dems and MSM over everything Trump says and does.

Actually nobody cares because it's a useless indicator of herd immunity. Like the flipside less testing equal less positives. Your stats are useless.
I'll try to make this simple for you since you can't read..5% and under..shows outbreak is not growing and cases are decreasing over 5% more tests should be done..US is at 4% 20201011_090032.jpg

It is being done on a localized level. It seems you are the one that has a problem when a localized population has above 5% and takes lockdown measures.

Yeah I'm glad to see it but also a little concerned I'm going to regret spending nearly 1.5k on Universal tix at Christmas

Universal is crazy expensive. I'm visiting parks there early Dec. Hitting up Sea World, Busch, and the Fun Spots I stead of Disney/universal. I'm much more a coaster rider than anything else.

Just. Wear. You're. Freakin'. Masks.

When dining out, select outdoor options. Avoid large indoor gatherings. Worship your non-existent deities remotely. It's not that hard.

If a particular location has reached, or is close to reaching, herd immunity, the number of infections should be going down. For each person infected, that person should be infecting one or fewer people. Since infections are growing, that means you don't have herd immunity yet.
You don't get it...when NY first started testing the infection rate was like 20% now they are around 4% the difference? Far more testing...we have quadrupled our daily testing but positives have not even doubled...you really need to educate yourself better and in the words of Fulmer "work like heck to be a better poster"

My point is for the herd immunity bros on here who were saying there would be no second wave in the hardest hit areas because they got herd immunity during the first wave. The most recent numbers show that both the absolute number of cases AND THE POSITIVITY RATES are going back up. That means there is no herd immunity in these places. At a minimum the positivity rates would be going down. But they're going up.

That's might point rates aren't going up...just the amount of testing...rates continue falling
