Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

There isn’t a reason we can’t be, just takes commitment from the administration.
Now you’re making my points for me.
We have never put championships as a priority at our university. And we never will.
We occasionally get lucky and win one but all the university cares about is winning more than we lose.

He's better than Jones, not even close.

The staff is obviously recruiting at a higher level.
I dont want to get back on the coaching carousel either, but with the salary his staff is pulling in, the results need to come sooner rather than later.

If this had been 10 years ago, the BOT and fanbase would have more patience and be willing to wait for the 5 year rebuild

Unfortunately, the administration made 2 awful hires prior to Pruitt and we've been wandering thru CFB purgatory ever since.

In this league and at the pace of improvement other conference members have made, patience is long gone at this point.

We have support groups here on VN for poor misguided souls like you. Well, except for PJ.

Got a feeling we are gonna need to expand that support group. I think the day will come when Kirby remembers today, but it's still a QB and some defensive depth away. I really miss Dobbs.

Saban's run at Bama and Dabo's at Clem has gotten everyone out of their mind.

Even at our best we didnt win it all. And 98 was a different story without some amazing luck.
I hope some UT big money donor is still keeping Clint Stoerner in hookers and blow to this day for putting that ball on the turf.

But on domination some of our 50’s teams were pretty damn amazing.

He'll go 7-3 +/- 1 and everyone will conclude that's a good for an all SEC season.

Patience of fans does nothing to accelerate the rebuild we're doing.

Late 30's, early 50's , late 60's/early 70's, and then the 90's. We started tailing off after 2000ish. Plus, a few bright spots here and there, such as the 85 Sugar Bowl.

True forgot the 30’s. Both of Neyland’s tenures is when I think of Tennessee dominance.

I was at the 85 Sugar Bowl. It was... glorious.
