Im excited as well and agree about a win being huge. However im not sure a close game does much, we are past the point of Butch Jones and morale victories.

[Buddy’s Bandit]

Just found this out....Stetson Bennett, Ga’s quarterback is from Jesup, GA. The home of Buddy Bennett who coached defensive backs for UT in 1969. Stetson is Coach Bennett’s grandson.

He live directly behind my parents. I mowed his yard that year and for that I got a ticket to each home game. That ticket happend to be be in the press box with the coaches!! Coach Bennett coach “Buddy’s Bandit’s” who tallied 40 interceptions that year. I think it is still a record. Tim Priest was part of The Bandits....he and I have had several discussions about his tenure with Coach Bennett. Tidbit.....there was a wire that ran from the press box to the sidelines. They would take a porloroid picture and shoot it down to the sidelines via the cable To discuss formations.

At that time the team dressed in Gibbs and practice in Neyland. The Bandits were not allowed to walk to and from practice....they ran the whole time!!! He was a tough son of a gun!!
