I paid attention to how far off that kick was yesterday, good kickers don’t have kicks like that. He’s not hitting the ball well no matter how you want to slice it. I’ll
Give you last week but even that is pushing it, kicks in a game are never like practice that’s why I don’t like blaming it on a
Guy out of the corner of his eye. Unless they get right on top of you or block it, it shouldn’t effect you that much. I mean we’re talking about a d 1 kicker for goodness sakes
I have seen the best kickers in the world shank kicks..not worried yet. If it becomes a consistent thing this year...then bitch away.

Enigbare wasn't out if the corner of his eye...he was straight up the gut because Simmons whiffed his block and Enigbare would have blocked it.

Kicking is so technical. If you hit the ball a fraction high you have a flat spinner like Cimaglia did yesterday. If the holder leans the ball back too much you can hit it high on the ball. Similar to golf. Best golfers in the world have the occasional miss hit on the tee box.

I’m not worried about him at all.

Got the opportunity yesterday to go to the game and it was a perfect day... Felt really weird though getting in and out of Knoxville so easily, no tailgating, and how few fans were allowed to be there... Super win for us and definitely a confidence builder going into the GA game. I haven't read all the opinions and game debates from yesterday but I'll say this---

I have to admit JG performed better than I thought he would. With that being said, there were two potential interceptions that were dropped...

Keyton is a great athlete and will get there, but too many drops or poor routes so far this season. I would be more comfortable at this point replacing him with Velus...

I know I will have folks coming at me, but A Taylor is just not that good as people think at this point... he definitely has flashes, but also makes a lot of bad decisions and plays. He has yet to really play a consistent game. I would put him at lead block for Gray or Chandler before I'd put him on an island at this point.

Our Defense did not play well overall the second half... Everyone I was with was talking about the lack of pressure we got on the QB the entire game. I hope they tighten up some things and make adjustments this week because several times we were severely out of position.

Cimaglia...WTF? -- two games and two bad misses.... didn't I read a quote where he told Pruitt that as long as we pass the 50 or 40, he would score?

It was definitely a great win and we weren't afraid to score, but now that we see the talent we have, we MUST tighten/fix the small things if we are going to have a chance to potentially upset the GA/AL/FL games.

LOL, his assertions of what had already happened were just as crazy as his predictions. When did Fulmer undercut Jones, Dooley, and Kiffin? Heck, Kiffin wasn't here long enough for Fulmer to undercut him.

He actually had the coup of not hiring Schiano and firing Currie exactly backwards blaming it on the big money boosters.

And I remember our fans being down and frustrated with Pruitt but I don't think 'many' people were rooting for more losses 4 games into Pruitt's second year. I'm sure there were some that felt this way but saying it was 'many' implies it was a large chunk of the fanbase which I don't think was true.

Basically, every paragraph either contains an outright lie or a wild assertion with no evidence given to support it ('Pruitt's hire is an attempt to jam a VHS of his old glory days back on the school' what does this even mean?)

Anyway, even if I wasn't a Tennessee fan I'd be glad his prediction turned out to be utter garbage. A senseless article filled with libel deserves to have all its predictions turn to crap. I hope any time he makes a prediction going forward this gets posted in the comments to remind others how good a prognosticator he was.

1 for 2..the miss against SC was because Enigbare was in his freaking face..if he had kicked it at the goal instead of to the left it would have been blocked. He pulled it on purpose to keep it from getting blocked...which could gave resulted in points for SC..it should be fairly obvious to anybody with a brain that that is exactly what happened.
Debatable, but not going to anymore. As I said, I think he is much better.

Check with your doctor. Monitor levels regardless of the amount you take.

My wife is a Pediatrician, treated a kid that presented with Vitamin D toxicity. Grandma had sent the parents a bottle of Vitamin D supplements for him to take. Ends up it was a weekly dose that they took daily! Grandma was in a South American country where you can buy the high dose OTC...

Moral of the story is to definitely check your labs.

FYI, I am taking 1,000 iu Of Vitamin D daily and tested in the normal blood level range at my last annual physical. I also drink milk and am in the sun (Summertime). I know that I am not taking enough for SSVOL, but my labwork says that I am fine. I would for sure check your levels routinely if you are deficient.

My Doc has me on 50,000 a week. I take one per week.

I think Taylor can be much better. There was one play where he tried to jam the WR and it did not work and he got burned badly down the sideline. He is still a fierce competitor and good in run support.

Georgia fans as their finest...

Nice covid catchers

RIP Bob Gibson. He could really bring it. Awesome pitcher. They essentially lowered the mound because he was dominant.
My favorite Bob Gibson story as told by Tim McCarver, was when he and Gibson would get into arguments about what pitch to throw. Gibson finally told him the only thing McCarver knew about good pitching was that it was hard to hit. McCarver agreed and let him call the shots from there.

McGill is right on the analysis of the kicking unit.

You don't take a 4yr starter, automatic, 2nd best in school history kicker and he suddenly becomes bad. Occams Razor. What changed? His holder, longsnapper, and fewer reps with the blocking unit.

The first miss he pulled in reaction to unblocked Cocks running up the gut (phrasing). That was on Simmons, and if you watch the replay of the game you'll see Jeremy Pruitt in Simmons's face after. Yesterday, the ball was miss-hit. That could be on Cimaglia OR the holder having the wrong angle on the ball.

The unit has only had 3 attempts, but they're perfect on extra points and the kicks have pretty much all been beautiful. Settle down. I'm not concerned unless he starts missing normal field goal situations wide and/or extra points. I guarantee you training camp features bad kicks and poor blocks. Takes a few more reps to get into a rhythm.
