We play well as a unit on defense but lack playmakers. We have a few, UGA has a bunch.

Without an ELITE D, I have no confidence in JG to keep us in the game against a championship caliber opponent

I was going to start a thread about this very thing, Thanks OP. Been flipping between games, State v AR, Vandy v LSU and Auburn v GA. Seems to be a mixed bag to me. Was wondering if Auburn was that bad, if AR is a bit underrated, and what will LSU do to bounce back from last weekend. CJP seems confident the Vols can compete against UGA, time will tell I guess

However, you're not the same team every week.

Honestly, Georgia looks like they really, really came to play and I'm not sure they come to play at this level next week.

It is frustrating to constantly see qbs come in and perform right out of the gate. Meanwhile JG has played is 68 games and is still trying to learn the offense. Lol. Seriously, JG did play better today but is just limited physically in a lot of ways. Both Bennett and nix have much better athleticism than JG making it difficult to blitz them. They can use their legs to escape pressure and keep the play alive. JG just can’t do that

We just need to play our best next week and then we have a decent chance. Odds are much better than last year, even on the road.

Florida can wait until week 11. In the meantime their defense has given up 63 points in two games and both Ole Miss and SCAR could have scored more.
