It's the dual edge sword of "no one left behind". Is it really a kindness to ensure future suffering and the weakening of the race?
Not proposing any type of euthanasia, but the logical extension of the greater good concept.
If you let a central government make that decision you better hope you are never in a category that gets rounded off.
None. My age, probably in better shape than me. At least weighs less. He did smoke for a couple years. Probably been longer since he smoked than the time he did smoke. But clean bill of health before this. That's very odd.
I haven't heard of false negatives, either. Does he have other chronic health issues which might have contributed?
The 8.5% do not concern me and should be of no concern to anyone in this discussion.Probably the jobless population.
I look at it like I would my body. Is it good to cut off my hand? No. What if it has gangrene that is spreading? Yes, good thing to cut if off. The parts that remain is less for the loss, but life goes on. No reason to keep a limb that is already lost at cost to the rest.I talk about it all the time but I can be rather blunt about it because I don’t include emotions in on something that’s a natural process . A virus that doesn’t affect the young or healthy but rather the weak and unhealthy is just simply a herd cleanser . I’m in no way saying that losing someone isn’t terrible , I just try to recognize it for what it is . I should add that I’m for protecting the most venerable in society without stopping our economy .
Not me, just pointing out the greater good contradiction. For me right to life is guarenteed. Should one procreate is another question. Again it just depends on your depth of greater good conviction.
You are aware that some states didn't expand Medicare and therefore didn't have a marketplace? The 8.5% do not concern me and should be of no concern to anyone in this discussion.
Do you have to be employed to qualify for Obamacare?
If you're unemployed you may be able to get an affordable health insurance plan through the Marketplace, with savings based on your income and household size. ... If you have just left your job for any reason and lost your job-based health coverage, you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
eta: the way some words are randomly bold is annoying.
Top of the list was getting sports back to help provide a little normalcy and alleviate some anxiety. Schools all across the country have done their best to open up. It's touch and go for everyone. Titans game postponed. I'm actually sick of all the complaining about masks, restrictions, and lockdowns. Most People have adjusted accordingly to their own situation and the economic retraction will persist until we "defeat" the virus or adapt. I would like for the government to help out those that are struggling to adapt, but that would be the nanny state from the folks on the right.
I think Bill can foot that and bypass us as the middleman, he'll save money on me, I won't take it.Ah, here it is. So we have to pay the tab for the rest of the world...
Bill Gates: West Must Finance Global Vaccine Distribution Network If It Wants To Defeat COVID-19
Lol. Move on. No more government economic assistance. Jobs everywhere.
Most people did adjust. They listened to their idiotic governmental officials for awhile, then said f it, and adjusted back to going about their business.
At some point the baby birds have to leave the nest. I am tired of the mask requirements that come with the caveat of "and other basic hygiene". I am not sure when it happened exactly but at some point the teacher doesnt ask if you washed your hands coming back from the bathroom. Everyone just assumes they do. It's not the governments job to follow us around and make sure you lather up properly.Top of the list was getting sports back to help provide a little normalcy and alleviate some anxiety. We've been happily spreading diseases for hundreds of years. No reason to go total Karen on this.
If it was just signage up, and left to individual businesses I wouldnt have issue with the mask requirements. If you are worried about Covid stay away from stores letting people in with naked faces. It's that freaking simple. No one should have been shut down or penalized over this. Especially with the government saying the rules dont apply equally.
Friends in New York, right in the heart of the worst areas of Covid. Husband, wife, and mother-in-law all had the same symptoms. None were in bad condition, but they had obvious symptoms for multiple days. Only one of them tested positive. The other two tested negative. Testing appears to have major flaws from anecdotal information available. So crazy circumstance happened to some good friends of mine. Husband and wife.
Husband got real sick, all the typical signs of Covid. Ended up being taken to the ER bc of breathing issues. ER tests everyone. Husband and wife both tested. Husbands tests come back negative, wife positive. Husband stuck in hospital sick as a dog. Wife is home fine. Husband further tested in hospital, always comes back negative. They also tested for flu and some other things, all negative. Covid treatment works on him he is cleared to go home after a couple days. Not sure what they used, never put on ventilator. Wife not allowed to pick him up as she is positive. She took two more tests, first positive, second negative before she can go back to work, never showed a symptom. Husband who was sick and everyone believes had Covid only tested negative.
Crazy this type of stuff happens. I had heard about the asymptomatic positives but not symptomatic negatives. And in the same household.
That's true, the business can decide. I think in this case, they were acting like douche bags. JMOYup. If there are rules in place and you voluntarily show up you should abide.
I have no issue with a business kicking people put or not allowing them in. Discrimination is just as much as freedom as anything else.
The tests have had problems since day 1.Friends in New York, right in the heart of the worst areas of Covid. Husband, wife, and mother-in-law all had the same symptoms. Yeah I have no idea what the typical margin of error is but Covid seems to have a pretty wide one.Friends in New York, right in the heart of the worst areas of Covid.
