The Official #16 Tennessee @ South Carolina Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, SEC Network

And to make things clear, no one is personally attacking JG. I already know there’s gonna he threads after this game talking about how if you’re hating on Guarantano then you’re not a real fan. Feel bad for our back up qbs having to watch knowing the coach thinks they can’t do better than this.

Halftime observation.

after a bad first series the defense settled down and was stout and strong.

Offensively, disappointed. JG missed on about 4-5 throws. Receivers missed at least one, maybe two throws. OL was disappointing as I expected us to be able to rush better.

Bottom line, we are up. Offense needs to look better. Defense needs to maintain their intensity.

The one handed catch was a horrid throw. The dump to Gray was about as ugly as they come. After those two spectacular plays, JG settled into his normal mode of overthrowing open receivers, throwing into voids, and taking a sack.

He has truly turned the corner!!

As a 7th year Senior, he is gonna be unstoppable.

If JG can settle in he will hurt SC if not score. In this league, what I've seen are a number of open receivers, he has just not made the throw. Several to convert 3rd downs. He makes them were off. At this point he is just keeping SC in the game.
Dude, been watching the same guy for 4 years now....he has no ability to “settle in”. He’s awful.

They are selling out to stop the run because they have no respect for JG and rightfully so. Until we get another deep ball threat Qb our offense will struggle. Say what you will about Slash but I’d take him in a heartbeat right now.
