Yea who could imagine that people locking themselves away from others, who already struggle with addiction issues, could struggle with this. Or they are already struggling with addiction and depression and have lost their job. No way shutdowns be problematic for them. All good.Lockdowns cause drug overdoses. lol. It's been 2 hours and 10 minutes since I last saw my smack dealer.
Bingo. Social isolation is one of the leading risk factors for depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicide. And, we've actually mandated it.Yea who could imagine that people locking themselves away from others, who already struggle with addiction issues, could struggle with this. I was talking with my kids pediatrician at her last appointment. He was saying that he is seeing a huge spike kids moving in a very unhealthy direction with regards to their weight. He says it’s tied to lockdowns. BMI increases he would never expect to see from their previous appointment to now. Are you seeing that?Bingo. Sadly, yes, on a regular basis. I had a 14 year old this week who had gained 60 pounds since March, to over 300#. Evaluating for type 2 diabetes. His guardians have been scared to let him outside to walk. He's doing "virtual school."I was talking with my kids pediatrician at her last appointment. Does the cdc have a shred of credibility at this point?
tell me again why schools are closed in some places
Study: Less than 1 percent of teachers, students infected since schools reopened
People are dying from covid. That doesn't seem to bother you so I highly doubt suicides and drug over doses even register with you except for a talking point. A talking point that fails to mention that all of those thing have been going up for decades. You want to attribute all those problems on the lockdowns but the killer disease itself you screech Herd immunity the hard way. I will tell you this, most of the mentally ill cite fear of dying from the virus as triggers. Are you just completely blind to the truth? Yes, mental health disorders, alcohol abuse, drug overdoses, and suicide have all skyrocketed.
I was just talking to a friend tonight who recently met with an area medical-practice CEO. He was told that every group in their large multispecialty corporation was down as much as 70% this year, other than their behavioral health clinics, which were actually much busier.
It's incredibly sad.
Covid is the 3 leading cause of death in the United states. It's not suicide, Drug abuse, anxiety, depression or social isolation. You're not able to see the forest for the marginalized trees. The people most socially isolated are the ones at a higher risk level for covid death.Bingo. Social isolation is one of the leading risk factors for depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicide. link it if you got it.Yes, it's well established that drug overdose increases are linked to lockdowns.
I love seeing you post, because in all likelihood you're an overweight basement gremlin rolling in here, ignoring every post with data, yelling with emotions, and trying to argue with an actual medical doctor that you're right.People are dying from covid. You're incredibly pathetic with your politics. Save the mentally ill drug addicts and alcoholics but don't even try to protect the vulnerable population.
They don't make house calls, so it will be impossible for you to see them. Some I am in frequent contact with include several pediatricians, 2 ER docs, an immunologist, ENT, Pediatric surgeon, hospitalist, three surgical subspecialties, and anesthesia.Well do it then. I would like to talk to your colleagues.
So, you can't provide a list? OK, I didn't expect you could but you're the one that said it.They don't make house calls, so it will be impossible for you to see them. Like me, he probably spends a lot of his day doing drug/alcohol/tobacco-avoidance counseling, family evaluations, and mental health screens. Oh, and don't get me started on physical health/obesity/metabolic syndrome care.I love seeing you post, because in all likelihood you're an overweight basement gremlin rolling in here, ignoring every post with data, yelling with emotions, and trying to argue with an actual medical doctor that you're right.
It's hilarious!
