Just wondering how many fans will be allowed into neyland, anybody know?
The way i understand it, 25,610 without counting some boxes? And possibly a few students. I could be wrong but my guess is when all said and done near 28,000

There aren't 102,455 seats in Neyland. That is a "total" number including: fans, ushers, ticket takers, Concessions, Custodial, Press, EMS, Police, Fire, etc. There are a little over 96,000 seats, not counting the sky boxes. I believe DP said they cap tickets distributed at 96,500.

But your figure is probably pretty close. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if a few extra were allowed in. Why not?

102455 is actual seats, but some boxes will have social distancing and I believe ex players and big time donors. My number should be close, within a hundred or 2.

I promise you there are not 102,455 seats in Neyland. Even Fulmer has said so, when discussing stadium upgrades. And, yes, I counted them (w/out skyboxes) and the total was a little over 96,000.

Does Neyland Stadium Actually Hold 102,455 People?...Maybe

102,455 is a sold out gameday "atmosphere" including all the other people previously mentioned.

Those 28,000 are going to have to be four times as loud.

Being an enclosed stadium I think it will be pretty loud.

We've seen Neyland at less than full capacity over the last few years but this will be strange. Watching the ND game yesterday it looked like a Spring Game crowd. Better than empty, I suppose.

I've been surprised watching NFL and college games with reduced capacities at how much noise there is in some stadiums.

The media outlets are piping in crowd noise. During one of the games, the announcers said they’re using sounds from actual games in similar situations ... ie, they pull a sound from a previous 3rd and goal in the 4th qtr to match what the crowd “would” sound like on that down.

I know that's been a thing especially in the NFL and MLB. Still, it's surprising what a small crowd can sound like in a bowl or a dome.

"There Will NOT be College Football this Season!" Ah Yes. LOL. OK ST had a pretty dang good crowd Saturday. Tennessee could too. BUT the NFL can't Have any fans? Solve that riddle. On a side note. those Oklahomans get it.

I'm guessing all 28000 will be in the lower bowl?

How many seats are in the lower bowl versus upper decks? Anyone know off the top of their head?
