You post here as much as I do, do you really think Republican senators see themselves as having a mandate to act with fairness, decency, and consistency?

Tribal partisanship is the first principle of the Republican Party, right now. Look at the responses in here. The woman’s body wasn’t even cold before you had people saying that they had to keep Democrats out of the senate and lusting over the idea of ramming another justice through.

If the Republican senate can hand their voters a win for 15 minutes, they’ll do it, even if It gets undone in some fit of retaliation in the 16th minute when Democrats take control. Their voters have all the forethought of a smash & grab robber. They don’t care about the country or even what’s best for them beyond the next culture war skirmish. It’s political hedonism.

Hopefully Democrats will follow the lead of Biden’s campaign and start behaving differently when they retake the government, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Democrats are no different, in fact, they are worse. Just look at the hearings on the SCOTUS nominations, as if you need a reminder.

They literally had a senator that killed a woman then some how turned him into a woman’s rights advocate hero sitting in a seat so long it’s now named after him .. the Kennedy seat . Hypocrisy is a funny word huh ?

I agree and find this humorous when I look back to see that 65.8 million rubes voted for Hillary in 2016 . Like fish in a barrel .
