No, he just didn't get a vote. They literally allowed his nomination to sit for 10 months. So, that tweet you posted which said that "we must have a full court" by election day? That was bs, wasn't it?Oh dang, I missed how republicans accused Merrick Garland of being a rapist who ran an underage sex ring
I think you have the talking points down pat.It doesn’t get more humane than campaigning on economic opportunity for every person and specifically blacks Hispanics and working class person of any race creed and color, and then actually fighting unfair trade practices and revising ****** trade deals to make that actually happen.
What is not humane is an “economic new normal” platform of 1-2% growth in perpetuity “jobs that aren’t coming back”, and the promise of a government plantation of subsistence living if we would only eat the rich in sufficient numbers. Which requires just listening and believing the great Oz and never looking behind the curtain at the simple math.
I disagree. What is this fascination with being a centrist? Trying to cater to both political ideologies out of some misplaced sense of being viewed as centrist is, in fact, antithetical to and the opposite of constitutionalism.
Put a damned constitutionalist in, period.
It’s a natural escalation from the McConnel rule. Which was a natural escalation of the nuking of the filibuster. It’s coming. I could almost see Roberts stepping down to restore the 2016 status quo and prevent it, but not quite. Not sure how you equate the two scenarios. SCOTUS nominations right before an election and packing. As mentioned what is the drop dead date? If we are that far gone, lets just go ahead and get it over with.
Exactly its say more than anything that leftists don't want someone who is a Constitutionalist, because they know their beliefs run contrary to itI disagree.
